I congratulate Hon Sallah for accepting his nomination as the flagbearer. The same goes to the Nadd exec for finally putting the ledearship tussle to an end.So interestingly what we have seen emerging is that ever since the withdrwal of Darboe and Hamat procedures have been shaping smoothly, speedily, and in order. Was Darboe and Hamat the stumbling block here or was it a diplomatic coup I need answers. What next we saw oj stepping aside and taking over the chairmanship role for the selection committee when only a month ago he looks very determine to lead the coaltion. What must have motivated him to step aside within a short period of the naming of a the flagbearer folks i need answers. Then Halifa and waa poised as the two contenders only for waa to concede to Halifas nomination in the eleventh hour why did the Niamina Dankunku strong man take such a tactical move.Eventually Halifa sallah named as the flagbearer and as the supporters were celebrating Hamat and jallow tendered their resignations what a dramatic events unfolding in the opposition camp. The key question here for me and am sure most observers would share that with me is why did it take the alliance just under a week to choose a flagbearer when they could not do it within one year folks i need answers. How would Darboe and Hamat analyse the prompt move by their colleagues to unveil a flagbearer within such a time period. Most importantly how does that place both messers darboe and Bah in the eyes of the Gambian electorate.Halifa sallah NADD flag bearer, ousainou Darboe leader of udp/ Nrp but do any of them pose as a credible threat to kanilai dictator folks i need sound and balanced answers here.Would any of them raise any hope in the eyes of a desperate Gambian desperate for a peaceful change of government with their current political positioning well feed me with answers.Fianlly all this talk about a united front but the multi million dollar question is would Halifa be prepared to step aside for Darboe and would Darboe be ever prepared to step aside for Hon Sallah probably we need to hire the service of Bill Clinton to break the deadlock here but what a trend emerging in Gambian politics.A united front can only be possible if only some one is willingly to compromise but in the prevailing circumstances is their any chance of that happening well I patiently wait and see.

It is clear where Ousainou Darboe and Hamet Bah stand at a time that the Gambia is struggling for good governance and liberty.Their irresponsible behavior represents nothing but greed.During Ousainou's last trip to Atlanta he clearly stated that his signature on the M.O.U represents an absolute commitment to the principles governing NADD.How comes the same Ousainou is pulling away from NADD at this crucial point. No matter what the difference is within NADD if there is any, embracing solutions would have been more patriotic than rushing to a non justifiable separation.

But make no mistake, conscious Gambians are very observant today. And for those seeking the highest office in the nation for their personal interest, it is too bad. This is 2006 and Gambians have their eyes and ears wide open.

Solution,
You said it well! We need Darboe to rescind his resignation from NADD and put his weight behind Halifa. Anything short of this is unacceptable. People should know that it is not for Halifa to join Darboe, but it is Darboe, the renegade politician, who needs to honor his words and rejoin the coalition.
