basicly you need the same things as you do in Europe, you need to check the owners and the status of your plot at the land and surveys office in Banjul, you need to draw a building plan and get a buildingpermit for it, easiest thing to do is to take a specialised laywer to do everything for you so you are sure nothing is forgotten you can also find many tips on real estate sites, if you are interested you can buy a complete survey on real estate in the Gambia, this list contains over 50 unique links from real estate agents,private sellers and specialised laywers in 4 languages , so you can easily compare houses and plots and prices the list costs 5 euro and can be paid by paypal roger |

Be very careful with property deals. Dont use Palm real estates they are under review for mis appropriating money |

Try this guy Colin Woods from DDS finishing touches. Met him in Brufut recently from Ireland seems ok. They have a website. Spoke to him about building a house he knows a lot of builders. I have his email address if anybody is interested. |
