Hi Jambo,
I have flown to Guinea twice and I have also experienced going by Bush Taxi !
Some things about the flight- You cannot guarantee that the flight either departs on the date specified or returns on the date specified (I think they wait until it is fully booked). So leave some room for being delayed both ways and don`t be disappointed.
The airport security in Guinea asked me for money.
If you return to your travel agent asking for your money back because of no flight; they will not give it to you !
BUSH TAXI- AMAZIN EXPERIENCE- YOU HAVE TO BE VERY HARDY- AFAIN THE TAXIS ONLYGOIF THEY ARE FULLY BOOKED SO PREPARE FOR DISAPPOINTMENT.
ONLY FOR THE HARDY- BUT I WOULDN`T HAVE MISSED IT FOR THE WORLD- I ENJOYED THE ROUTE THAT GOES OVER THE MOUNTAIN TO LABE BEST OF ALL .
GOOD NIGHT

Hi Jambo, Its a long time since I went 1999 and 2001.
I started off from Serrakunda, then went to Brikama I think. Take a blanket coz it gets cold.
It costs around 60 pounds one way.
Do you know that Guinea is not a safe place at the moment ???
You are better off going with a guide.
You need to change some money into guinea francs and some into senegalise francs before you go.
Take a yellow fever certificate to Guinea.
I will try and remember so more details about my trips and let you know.
Bye for now

Can you be more explicit. regarding which Gunea you are travelling to. There are three Guinea's in Africa. |

I am writing about my travels to Guinea Conakry and Friah
Well spotted K, we don`t want Jambo going to a Country not of his choice and finding this out he is in the wrong place when he gets there !
