This was originally posted on my blog.

If you are wondering why the links to Freedom newspaper are expiring when you clicked on them, well Nderry is hard at work scrubbing his site of articles he get criticize on.

Time and again, Nderry has revealed himself to be completely unmoored from reality. He has no regard for basic precepts of responsible commentary. Facts which are unpleasant to him are now deleted from his site. But yet the most serious accusations come spewing forth from his mouth without any regard to whether they are actually true.

Nderry spent most of his online commentary calling other people liars, frauds and murderers. However when confront on the facts, he tries his hands at historical revisionism:by deleting articles unfavorable to his cause.

And now that he stand exposed, yet again, as reckless and fact-free hysterics, he will simply move, unperturbed, onto his next manufactured scandal, with the expectation that he will be taken seriously. Is it really any wonder that not even Nderry takes nderry seriously? Why else would he delete his own reporting? "Chai fitna"

I know that newspapers in and about Gambia are somewhat limited in what they report for various reasons, but with the internet there is a great opportunity for someone (not me, I am not a journalist!)to start and continue to publish a truthful and reliable newspaper on line where the news on a local level could be read, there are many papers who find that politics is the easist thing to write about, what is politics? it can be anything but it is all just TALK ,Action on anything, forget it, it dosn't happen!

"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.

I really find it hard to believe what is said in the freedom newpaper. The and the information been publish is full of junk and unfounded. I don't think Pa Nderry has the interest of the Gambian people at heart? Because what he writes dosen't yield anything good to our people. Because of the freedom newspaper, there are people in mile 2 central prison, due to the allage hacking of his site.

You see this is the problem. No one should go to jail for exprerssing or associating with a media outlet. For every action there is a reaction. Access to information is almost impossible and free speech is an entreched right in the constitution.

I am not defending Freedom paper but free speech. Rememeber that there are three truths: yours, mine and the real truth. With free speech we are able to separate the seeds from the husks.

That is a good one. It made me laugh so hard. For your information my site is sponsored by Google. They provide the space and the expertise. All I do is run my mouth. My principles wouldn't let me be a tool for Yahya Jammeh and his government. I am gainfully employed. You are right that Nderry is not the only Gambian operating an online news site, but who else practice the kind of egregious reporting that he does.
