Gainako received a letter from Co-editor of Freedom Newspaper acusing Pa Nderry of Censorship and repeated overule of Editor Jambang's advice against publishing articles the editor deemed as unethical and unsubstantiated stories. Please check the link for Jabang's own words...

Note: It is our conviction that when the stakes are high, the bar must be equally raised. Those of us who are in the business of information sharing must hold ourselves accountable to what we report and write about.

We must deploy needed resources to authenticate every source of information we receive. As members of the media, prominent or otherwise, we have an obligation to supply acurate or educative information. We should stay away from censorship and bias reporting else we become examples of the dictatorship we acused Jammeh and others of.

While we exercise checks and balances on regimes and public officials, we should expect the same on us. This is why we welcome citizens with blogs to monitor accuracy of news reporting. The monitors should be monitored too.

Baldeh,

This link is similar to the new blog under the topic keeping them honest. Like the mandinka say: Teri kuya, kulo wa nyaro

Then again, lets wait for the dust to settle. In less than a week since the new blog came about, the strings are falling apart.

Is this what Chinua Achebe calls:

Things Fall Apart,
The center cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loose upon the world;
.....

It was a long time i read that novel with the mighty Okonkwo parading the village of Umoto and the shrines eventually taking the life of an adopted child, Ikemefuna in the name of tradition and being masculine.

"Teri kuya, kulo wa nyaro." Kons.

You didn't restore my other posting that you deleted. There might be wisdom in the deletion, but should i assume you communicate reason for deleting it next time, a beef i wanted to share with you.

In the past, we witnessed a lot of it. "nyo wanyaro."

"I believe when friendship breaks, it should leave and take respect for the greater good ahead." That was my exact quote on Allgambian when my other two editors were parting then.

Lets see the flip of the coin. By the way, thanks for opening the discourse mawdo Demba. Censorship doesn't have a place now with all these blogs and forums coming to light.

Lets see what Editor Nderry also have to say. I am sure he will put some words across. By the way, thanks for opening the discourse mawdo Demba.

I suspected some wisdom in the deletion, so i took to slow motion to understand what was behind it. I visited the site also, to see for myself. For a second, i reflected on the story narrated in the Quran about Musa and the wise man. I held onto my breathe.

I editted the above post of mine, reflect your quote on it, to remove the names of those two fellows.

It will cost you 'horeh-ghari'.

Have it nice always. Thanks for your explanation.

Kondorong,
Why do you call this Teri kuya, kulo wa nyaro?
There is too much false people among us on these forums and so called online nwespappers. All those responsible for there iresponsible acts shall be brought to justice one day.
This case is an example for all of us. It does not pay to lie or give false impresson. This I have been warning all of us on these forums. I dislike Gambia-L because there are no facts. This applies to the socalled journalist seeking visas and staying permits in Europe and the US. Report the truth from the beggining.
Remember"everyday for thiefman and one day for masteryard"
You cannot run from your prople and the truth forever. One day you will be exposed.
This case is about ignorance and untruthfulness.
I realy doubt the creaditibility of most of our online newspappers, judging from the experience I have had so far of them.

As they say, this is the beginning of the end for Pa Nderry and his malicious attacks, lies, and innuendo.

"...Verily, in the remembrance of Allâh do hearts find rest..." Sura Al-Rad (Chapter 13, Verse 28)

...Gambian by birth, Muslim by the grace of Allah...
