From experience and in fairer response to aspiration of Gambians, life president or term limit, what is suitable for Gambia ? On a gentle note of quick reminder, Jawara stayed 30 years and was to extend this if not for the adventurous theft by Jammeh of a constitution he swore to defend as army cadre. For 13 years now, that same Jammeh is killing citizens and stealing our resources. He declared his dangerous ambition of staying life president. Will it do Gambia any good if each leader in a turn is given all the time to play around till doomsday? With Jammeh now killing our own without even having to show remorse, how long will this take us? While it is Jammeh currently sitting by force, this is beyond his time. We already lost 13 years in serious ruins. Is it not time that we sweep the coridors for bettering the environment?

I refer you to our prsent constitution. Was it overcted or not considered in the second republic? These are CONSTITUTIONAL ISSUES and not about POLITICAL PROPAGANDA or CHALLENGE TO AUTHORITY.
Gambians should decide and not any IDIVIDUAL TO IMPOSE, in my opinion?
God bless THe Gambia TOWARDS NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AT ALL TIMES! |

Kobo,
By posting it as question is adequate invitation for Gambians to decide. There is nothing to suggest the call to IMPOSE! That CONSTITUTION you mentioned is worth the full knowledge of every Gambian electorate. Unfortunately the constitution is not an open book for mass learning. It takes platforms like this and many others for matters relating the constitution, governance, economic management, health, education and other domains of public concern to be discussed. It is a fatal error for anyone to think of IMPOSING ideas or associating matters arising as part of POLITICAL PROPAGANDA. That is why it is very important at this point that more effort is allocated to rectifying present wrongs than a bid to promote political parties of the past, present, and the aspiring. Once again, we are far from promoting individual political favours. For now it is all about remapping a sane and suitable political direction then comes who is fit for which road in the best of collective good. |

| Here you come again Brother Karamba, give it up please. It was the Gambian people that voted for Jammeh few months ago and that is still fresh in our minds. He has another five year development program and as usual he delivers. And his five year development program is not ghostly as the former govītīs programs. Now, statistic tells us that Gambians wants the man and you are campagning to remove him, my question is, Where are your democratic values?? He has promised a lot and delivered a lot, so we stick by him until he delivers no more.Peace Bro. |

Bread man Karamba still hasn't woken up to the reality that Jammeh is still in power for the next five years he overslept through the election campaigns and thinks he can turn back the hands of time instead of accepting reality. Never mind him I'm sure Jammeh doesn't. He's far too busy running the country and progressing it further along the path 2020.

Bread Man,
If you comprehend my postings properly without a preconceived mind, you will not fail to understand my concern for Gambia transcends individual case. Why are you so gittery about Jammeh being out of that seat? There are up One Hundred Thousand (could be more) good sons and daughters of Gambia capable of delivering better than Jammeh. These are people who already content in life and not greedy like Jammeh whose only reason to be in that position is to make name and money. You are simply insulting the many good sons and daughters of the republic by the position you glue yourself unto. This is not about Dr Yahya. It is about Gambia. Because Dr Yahya and Dr Dawda Jawara have chosen to be placed on the seat, it is natural that we have to mention their names as matter of fact. Get your mind better focused on the NATION Gambia rather than bog us up with this fruitless Yahya Jammeh white elephant destruction you call development. Stop insulting Gambian intelligence. A president who kills deserves eviction for the peace our nation we crave each day. |

Brother Karamba you said, quote. "For 13 years now, that same Jammeh is killing citizens and stealing our resources". And in your last piece you said quote, "This is not about Dr Yahya. It is about Gambia". Stay tuned with your self if you want a fruitful debate. Let me remind you again of the 67% of voters he had, all of us that voted for him shared and most of us still shares the same wish, and that was to get him re-elected. You are in the minority and saying that am insulting gambians by my possition is infact insulting 67% of Gambians that shared and still shares possition with me. Finally Yes there are very many potential deliverers once they are on the presidential seat, however, a bird in hand is worth two in the bush. Maybe we can count on you to run against us next time. I will be looking up for you, coz thats the only forward (DEMOCRACY)Bro. |

Bread Man,
Is this deliberate or a forgivable default in your perception? To mention that "this is not about Dr Yahya but about Gambia" means just that. It is a gentle invitation for you and your likes to see THE GAMBIA more than the tiny image of Dr Yahya you keep projecting on the big screen. It is too much for a country like Gambia to keep one person ruining it more than enough. Bread Man, don't underscore yourself. In very sincere terms, we need looking at where we are going as a nation. Just the other day it was your same government that lamented over economic hardship imposed by rising prices. Did you read or heard of that? On the high-sounding 60+%, it is sad to cling on that. You keep repeating this as though genuine citizens have to pretend it was not all a coup that now prevails in the most brutal form of treacherous ditatorship! If you don't mind, peak it up to good 90% and be assured a resoluting 10% will never fall asleep while our dear nation sinks. You sound as though you have no regards for the plight of a MINORITY whatever statistical data you work that on. It is great occasion to celebrate and respect diversity. |
