It is now an established reality that rather than love and appreciation, the bulk of Gambians especially resident citizens live in constant fear of the next harmful event to emanate from president Jammeh. Is it proper that a president Jammeh imposes unbearable state of fear on peace loving people of Gambia. The arrests, detention, torture, killings and sackings are examples of how president Jammeh petrifies Gambians with perpetual state of fear. Fear of job loss, fear of arrest, fear of sudden death, fear of other harmful encounters with state operated thugs are just few to name. Is this to be tolerated for long?

Certainly, Gambiabev, there is NO democracy in Gambia of APRC/Jammeh. The most worrying thing is that Jammeh thunders about being ELECTED. We all know that election is part of the democratic process. To use FAKED elections and then turning around exerting the heavy weight of brutal dictatorship is the most serious political offence against decent citizens. It is such dubious conduct of people like Jammeh that democracy is seen as distorted. Surely, Santanfara, there is genuine democracy. Even those who deviate from the course of true democracy know this. Don't give up.

Kobo,

The fear factor is a real cause for concern. What just happened in Serra Kunda leading to death of an innocent youth is part of the fearful atmosphere the regime exerts on entire Gambian population. Youth in Gambia need to wake up and to stop supporting Jammeh who is there to have them slaughtered like animals as sacrifice in the name of security. One more youth is killed. Should rest of the youths continue lending supporting hands to a regime out there to maim and kill them one after another? FIGHT FEAR!! FIGHT THE EFFECTS OF FEAR.

In addition, here is another way of going about it. Let there be a national resolve to demystify this terrible self imposed king and to damn fear of tyranny. Once the population is able to conquer fear, the tyranny that imposes fear will be doomed. NO MORE FEAR. FREEDOM IS OURS. We are not fighting freedom but safeguarding the erosion of freedom. A society in FEAR is no FREE society. Therefore, what we need, is to CONQUER FEAR in all its forms. Tyrants use fear as a weapon to control people. For now, down with FEAR.

Fears are being expressed about the possible adverse outcomes in the ongoing sedition case of Fatou Jaw Manneh. These fears anchor on the premises that Gambia laws rest in the thick hands of a dictating president. Fatou Jaw's legal rep exposed the inadequacies of the system in view of frail evidence so far dished out from state security chambers. Since the publication of what Fatou Jaw Manneh is being held for as seditious material, nothing happened in Gambia to show that the public is induced by that purported material of sedition. Yet Jammeh is blessed with a wicked mind to brew hardship for Gambians to consume. This FEAR factor is something a civilised citizenry deserves the least. But it is the truth Jammeh's very look spells fear and uncertainty for peace-loving Gambians. He is a charcter with demon features.

What you should do is talk to Fatou´s lawyer Jobbs to refute what ever evidence the prosecution is said to have. Jobbs is a very good lawyer and he can do it if the case is not solid. The magistrate is not bias and if the prosecutors fail to prove the case, she will be free.

It is the mark of intelligence to entertain an idea without accepting it.
