I've been to Spain for several times, it's really a intriguing resorts, not only the beautiful resorts, but also kind people. Have you been there before? Do you have any other experiences to share with me? Waiting for your reply.

It is part of their tradition. They would say english might be kind to animals, but what about how they treat children!!!!
I have never been to a bull fight and never want to. But Ive never been hunting, or dog racin either. Most countries have something about them we don't like ( female circumsicion in the case of Gambia!) But I try to embrace the good things about a place.

My favourite european country, from the ones I have visited is ITALY, by a mile. I LOVE the food, the wine, the language, the climate, the history and the well dressed men. I LOVE a man in a suit!

The thing that France, Italy, SPain and Portugal all have in common is they are very family minded and live a more relaxed outdoor life than in the UK. Our live is a fast pace and quite isolated indoors.

The weather has alot to do with it.

I went to Cambrils in Spain last year for a week of pure holiday with my daughter. It was wonderful. I think if you have children to consider european countries have alot to offer.

Besides Barcelona I have never visited the Spanish mainland though I have been to the couple of Spanish islands. I like visiting European cities, big cities, small towns, villages. wherever. London, Oxford, Stratford, Guildford, Hampton, Oxshott, the landscape of Surrey...Copenhagen, Helsingor, Glostrup to name a few.
Last winter I was seriously considering of going to Senegal but the only travelling agency went bankrupt only after a couple of months. (So does my travelling saving account … not that I travel that much but canīt never save enough) I then started to look at Lisbon or Albufeira but ended up to book a trip to Djerba. Am going there next Tuesday.

Though it has VERY beautiful cities, like Granada, Sevilla and Salamanca, Spain is not my favourite. I prefer Portugal and its friendly, lovable people.

I have just recently spent a week in Djerba, the most southern island in the Mediterranean outside Tunisia. I went to see El Ghriba, the oldest Jewish synagogue in Africa. It was not due to the precious Torahs kept inside that the guards outside were heavily armed and all mail visitors were body-searches but the terrorist attack by al-Qaida which took place in 2002 causing death of 21 German tourists.
Three weeks earlier the very same place were visited by 5000 Jewish pilgrims who now resumed their annual festival after five years break.
There are an old Jewish community on the island.
Saturday was stormy, almost a bit frightening in the evening. The palm trees obviously are tough and resistant as they elegantly bent their tall trunks in the heavy storm waiving their long green arms.
Walking around in the small town of Midoun I noticed there were no wastepaper baskets anywhere. Neither there were any litter on the streets. They probably have nothing to throw away.
Just some small travel reflections!
