friday is a very important day for every muslim .it is the day of a large congregationary prayer and muslims listin to a sermon with utmost concentration .
friday is also the day the quran states that we as muslims should leave all we are doing when the time for juma prayers approaches and attend this important duty.

but now .every thing that is deemed sinful and a disobedient to Allah is done of friday. as soon as night falls ,preparations are made for clubbing ,cinemas ,mix settings ,drinking alkahol ,invitations of girl/boy friends and lovers ,fornication and rampant adultery .this acts of major sins are conducted mostly on friday nights.
what happen to us in the remembarance of Allah's message regarding friday.
every day is a day for us to be steadfast and strong to our faith but friday is special day. why choosing friday for all the acts of disobeying Allah ?
our prophet muhammad (pbuh) said '' the best day which Allah considers best is friday ,the day of congregation ''.
our nabi also said (saw) '' the best day on which the sun has risen is friday.on it Adam was created ,on it he was placed in paradise,on it he left paradise , on it he was forgiven ,on it he died ,and on it the final hour will take place. every creature on the face of the earth, except Adam's descendants , awakens on friday on the lookout fearing the final hour until the sun rises .and there is an hour on friday in which Allah will grant anything a believer asks ,if he is in formal prayer (salah) .(sunan abu dawud vol 1 p.269 ,no 1041)
Brothers and sisters in islam let us make friday unique and do our best and stay away from sinful activities. may Allah make it easy for us. amen.

salam brothers and siters in islam .it is friday again today .the importance of praying in the masagid of the congregational sallah is very vital for our eman. whatever we have to do to take time off from work or studies to attend the friday jamat should be done .the avoidance of friday jamat is not a simple thing in islam . i pray that Allah the almighty ,the everliving ,the unique and the eternal absoulute will make it easy for us to perform our salah on time and prefarable in the masagid. Allah is able to make it easy for us ,so let us always remember the power of prayers .
may Allah accept our duaa .

Thanks for a nice thread. The Friday comes and goes. It takes 7 days to have it back. Anything is possible within that time. I mean, including a final farewell to this difficult world; trials and tribulations, fitnah and temptations. I have great respect for the Fridays except the one instance when it took my best ever known friend. But if all the good that you attributed to it is to go by, I long since forgave that particular Friday. It is a good day to struggle, some effort to see those in ‘rows’, to revive the soul, like the advice of the wise man, Luqman (Pbuh) to his son (Suratul luqman, Quran). For verily the words of the Lord revives the souls of humans just like when water is poured on wilting seedlings. Then, for a minute, we see greenery all over. I thank you for this reminder, and may Almighty God give us its blessings now, and at the time of final departure. Amen

surah 62, vs 9,10,11

"9. O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if ye but knew!

10. And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah. and celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper.

11. But when they see some bargain or some amusement, they disperse headlong to it, and leave thee standing. Say: "The (blessing) from the Presence of Allah is better than any amusement or bargain! and Allah is the Best to provide (for all needs)." Criterion.

The above surah that Allah swt titled 'the friday' would be a nice one to share today. the last three verses put strict emphasis on the need to give the friday its due. the hadiths that come with your assertion are also termed 'sayeed', (strong chain of naration."

Below is the whole surah culled from islamic city.com

Surah 62. The Congregation, Friday

1. Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare the Praises and Glory of Allah,- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

2. It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered an apostle from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;-

3. As well as (to confer all these benefits upon) others of them, who have not already joined them: And He is exalted in Might, Wise.

4. Such is the Bounty of Allah, which He bestows on whom He will: and Allah is the Lord of the highest bounty.

5. The similitude of those who were charged with the (obligations of the) Mosaic Law, but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is that of a donkey which carries huge tomes (but understands them not). Evil is the similitude of people who falsify the Signs of Allah. and Allah guides not people who do wrong.

6. Say: "O ye that stand on Judaism! If ye think that ye are friends to Allah, to the exclusion of (other) men, then express your desire for Death, if ye are truthful!"

7. But never will they express their desire (for Death), because of the (deeds) their hands have sent on before them! and Allah knows well those that do wrong!

8. Say: "The Death from which ye flee will truly overtake you: then will ye be sent back to the Knower of things secret and open: and He will tell you (the truth of) the things that ye did!"

Say: "The (blessing) from the Presence of Allah is better than any amusement or bargain! and Allah is the Best to provide (for all needs)."

Santanfara, your posting also gives opportunity to remind the people who invite a Muslim to stay - that on Friday's there is a necessity to get them to a Mosque - which can be many miles/km distance to travel in some areas.

Have good Friday & pleasant weekend.

well ,as usual friday has arrived. let us make plan early enough to accomodate it in our busy schedules. if our prayers are accepted ,all our sins during the week is foregiven ,provided one doesn't engage in kabira sin ( major) but Allah promise us that he can foregive every sin except idolatry or polytihsm .we should avoid all forms of shirk ,assocaiting partners with Allah .we should avoid seeking help from other than Allah no one can change our destine apart from Allah. the rest of our human weakness is foregiven by Allah if we repent sincerely and vow not to reppeat sinful acts .we are humans at the end of the day ,we are flesh and blood but he gave mechanism that tell us the good and the evil .
we should be constant in reppenting ,it helps give us tranguil and inner peace .the material things increase our wants for more thus we end spending more time with the worldly things .we should remember ,if we abandon God in our youth ,he too may abandon us in our old age. look arroud you and see how old people feel .see how people are increasing becoming unhappy with the way they look ,yet however one looks ,he/she can find inner peace without directing ones energy to statutes and unnecessary swiching of furnitures etc. love your self and your neigbour ,don't let world politics affect your faith ,what we mix up shall be undo .lets be good to all human beings ,we are all God's creation. my salam to all ,and i ask God to foregive me and you .i also ask for your foregiveness if i in any way offend you with my crap inputs.

sibo , i have never heard that from any scholar .women can pray zuhur at home or in the congregation ,it doesn't matter .if you are praying at home ,pray zuhur at the normal time ,juma prayers is some times delayed because of sammon ,that shouldn't affect your salah at home. to delay a prayer is not recommended .if you read the quran surah al-maun that is chapter 107 verse 5 it explain why we shouldn't delay our salah. so pray zuhur at its normal time don't wait for the congregation .some other brothers and sisters can shed some light if they believe i am wrong. i will add more to the question later. thanks sister .

Sister Sibo, I believe Brother Santa is right. I have heard that from people as well (what sibo said) but cant find any scholarly opinion supporting it. Allahu Alam.

Thanks Santanfara...

I have another question concerning the last prayer of the day. Here in Europe in summer the prayer is late, up till 11:30 PM. I get up early in the morning, so I would like to go to bed early: My question is can I pray the last prayer right after I pray mahgrib which is around 10 PM??????

sibo ,mabgrib is arround 09:30 pm ,so you can pray esha at 10:30 pm and go to bed. some scholars said you can leave half and hour difference and then pray esha .which means you can pray even at 10:00pm but half ten is much better.
