Two wrongs never make a right. There were tribal games played during Jawara's days and the same game is being played today. That narrow minded way of reasoning is what sets us back yesterday and it continuous to hold us back today.

The indesputable fact is that Gambian in general is a backward nation that deserves better. Our children and grand children deserve to inherit a better system of government. Only those who are ignorant of social bianess thinks that they can benefit from suppressing others.

What goes round comes round, and this is why we have been going in circles over and over again without making headway. So no more excuse for what Jawara, Jammeh or John did, doing or is going to do period.

Baldeh,

The most naked irony in the way Jammeh supporters reason is that Jammeh was right to condemn and to have deposed Jawara. In the same way Jammeh is right to inherit such art of mismanagement like biased appointments as an example. What then is the justification for Jammeh to depose Jawara if he (Jammeh) is free to be corrupt, nepotic, biased because in the Jawara days this was the order? Will anyone help to explain this?

Am on the same track with you Bro.
Most are talking about tribalism while they are the Nr.1.
tribalism was in the Gambia before jammeh and still deep in there.
I am wondering if these people have ever heard a wind of change?

I think some of us have a very short memory span. Not so long ago, the most subjugated and looked down enthic group in the Gambia were the Jolas. The word "Jola" was synonymous with maids. Now the shoe is on the other foot some of us are crying foul. What happened to "do on to others as you would like others to do on to you"...or yet still "what goes around comes around."

We all agree that the man is tyrant, but he has a mandate and not Jolas voted for him. I think we are better served at turning our energies to something else that continuing to beat a dead horse.

A very good question mr Karamba,I believe that Jammeh took office simply to set things straight, if he is steping in the same direction as Jawara (who he claims to be wrong) he should simply resign.
