This editorial from the Point Newspaper is hypocritical and nonsense. At the very least the Point newspaper have been reporting numerous hiring and firing of judges, police and other government officials. How in the world do you think a system like our judiciary system will work smoothly when there is interference from government every where?
Common sense tells us that Jammeh is openly playing into the ignorances of many people by calling an emergency meeting and sounding like he is doing his job. Why can't the Point ask why files of cases disappear at the justice department or the NIA? Why can't the point ask the President to get his hands of the justice system and let the professionals do their job?
Where is the question to the President why he continue to appoint judges that preside over kangaroo courts? How comes when the courts ordered people to be release they are still detained at Mile II?
Let the Point give us a break if they cannot be honest and neutral. Instead of condemning the arrest and illegal detention of Fatou Jaw Manneh and many others, the Point newspaper is bend of issuing what? Praise to Jammeh against the judiciary??? Come on!!! something is wrong here... |
