In an ideal world, one is mum’s son/daughter and one is black. That’s all about it, very simple. In our real world, simplifying the burden of being black will be a disservice to the race. I refrain from it. Blackness is such a tremendously huge burden that can never be over emphasized.
Generally, the issue of race is amazingly phenomenal and usually engenders very deep thoughts, and very unpleasant thoughts to us blacks. We, blacks, the victims of powerful forces that hold us down, leave us languishing in the basement of the racial pyramid. Blackness, for no justifiable reason, has been and is being made the villain, the target of infinite hatred, the epitome of evil. In official Swedish, black which is "svart" refers to negativity, bad luck and evilness, to a certain extent. Such references to blackness are both confusing and detestable to black children growing up in the Diaspora, especially in Sweden.
Blackness withstands and exonerates itself from all labelled charges with one single weapon, a defensive weapon. Blackness is in a constant state of eternal defence against other races. The black weapon is RESILIENCE. Such a defensive weapon that blackness has seemingly an exclusive patent over. Blackness is dormant and lacks the collective dynamics other races have.
Racial consciousness, as controversial as it is to say this, is in the breed. Whites are prepared in the womb to belong to white supremacy, whereas blacks especially Africans are prepared to belong to an ethnic group a tribe. The enclosure of black Africans to ethnic groups levies a devastating blow and impedes the formation of a dynamic black African collective. Had the ethnic groupings in black Africa been bedrock to a consolidated black African collective, an exemplary black base would have been in place to inspire Diaspora blacks/Africans.
This is a piece advocating for a dynamic black African collective.
