To state that Jammeh is not aware of what goes wrong is casting an emperor image of him which no sane Gambian will buy. A man who seized power by coup because he claimed things were wrong, that man has the fullest responsibility to see everything go right. Not knowing what others do on his behalf turns him the most incompetent for the job and makes him ready for the exit door. Such statements are below the lowest standards of responsible thinking. The Gambia is not a barren empire for brutal dictatorship and Jammeh's remaining days will only be greeted with harder resistance by a clear and determined citizenry. Even if the constitution is changed thousand folds to carve Jammeh into what his wild dreams inpress on him, Gambians will have no tolerance for him any more and his frustrations will increase to untold magnitudes. |

| Well Bro Karamba, Jammeh is not an angel to be every where all the time. So of cos he can´t know all that is happening. Reasoning with the fact he is the leader of a coup and should therefore know all that is happening is not very realistic. However I beg you to maintain your critisms, one day he will listen. Not all that you say is just critism but most of it is. |
It is the mark of intelligence to entertain an idea without accepting it. |

Far too much, equating Jammeh to angels. Get the point very clear. Whatever I have stated over here is solid undiluted truth. For example I have stated more than ten (10) or more times that Jammeh staged a coup. I have stated in almost equal number of times that he uses national resources to escape his chronic poverty and now boasts being richer than the country whose resources he diverts to build his financial and material possession. Other issues I raise include the nature of insecurity in the country, corruption in high office, students shot to death, Jammeh paying lot of money for image building to foreign lobby firms, innocent citizens being targeted because they refuse to accept Jammeh, and lot more. Can you pick one of these and tell not me but every Gambian if any of the above is not true. When they are all found to be true, I am not critising but simply reminding the public not to forget that all these stand as the truth. That is not what I will call criticism. These are factual statements. Some of those who want us to perceive Jammeh as perfect gentle man president would not want anyone to remember that some of the ugly past be recalled. I am simply reminding and not criticising. |

| ¨Karamba, corruption in high office does not represent Jammeh, the shooting of students was definitely not his wish, and the paying of lobbyist for international image building is twisted by the opposition to mean otherwise. But it was image building for The Gambia and not Jammeh. I was also very saddened by the brutal murder of those innocent students and let me tell you that should I any how find out that Jammeh personally gave those orders, my support and respect for him will vanish with the speed of light. I know he was not directly responsible, however I believe he could have done more to bring the culprits to justice. My loyalty is not just to Jammeh as an individual but to The Gambia that I believe he wish´well for. |

Karamba show me one Head of State in this world who has not become richer from being in that position?
Which nation on earth boast at having their head of state being amongst the poorest members of their society whilst in office?
Peace

The only way forward is to have an enlightened Gambian populace. Political maturity is at its lowest ebb and that is definitely a reason why the Opposition are yet to make a breakthrough in political landscape.
The worst thing Gambians have got is Yahya Jammeh as their President for 12 years. Think about all the attrocities he has committed within the period. |

Bread Man,
You have impressed me with your stance that it is not Jammeh but Gambia as a nation. Sadly, Jammeh takes it that he does not only own Gambia; he is in fact Gambia. It is getting harder than anything, to detach Jammeh from that mentality. Because of that belief he takes it that every high post is his as well. So much the reason why he meddles with every position.
On the issue of politicians getting rich. Sister Omega, did I get it right that because other politicians elsewhere on planet earth get rich through political position, by that same way Gambians have to allow Jammeh swallow our tiny resources for him to grow rich and fat while we die ? Even if 90% of politicians get rich by such corrupt practices as you want us to permit Jammeh play on us, that is not a standard any sane Gambian will prefer. You are becoming louder and clearer on why you feel bitter by any mention of Jammeh's poor records of governance and excessive scale of corruption. Gambia will be free from such perceptions and the hands that stay to drown us will be ditched. If Jammeh was a lone farmer in the forest cover of Cassamance/Kanilai, Gambian fairness would have prevailed over him. Nobody would be bothered if he digs roots or peanuts from the hards grounds. This time, he is presiding over our collective resources. We are seeing him growing rich and the majority of us Gambians not only getting poorer but turning helpless destitutes. He is very unfair with the way of handling our shared national resources. Such situation is open to public subject of interest. It does not matter who feels offended. The occasion of stealing national resources is more of crime than what people discuss about that. On top of that killing nad maiming opponents is appauling; don't you think so?
To Bread Man once more. After the students were shot, their killers gained promotion from the president rather than them facing the law. Does that help you to understand why Jammeh has to be held responsible? |
