I just looked at our new memeber JemaJengngi and cannot but smile. His name is fulani meaning the night is old. Jema jengi, what is the message in your cyber name. Certainly its full of riddles.

Its almost like Baba Maal's song called jamma jengi which could mean two things in Fulani.

1. Jamma Jengi could mean jamma(Fulani name) is late in coming home . Jengi means late and is associated mostly with the night and darkness.

2. It could also mean that Jamma(peace) is late or very old meaning that we have hit difficult times in our generation.

Which ever way one looks at it, jemma(night), jamma(a name of a person) or jamma (peace) all have one thing in common: lateness(jengi).

When someone is late what do you do? May be kobo or karamba or madiba on dalton1 or Santafara could help. This name is full of riddles.

KONDO ,what will bantaba be without you. you always make the little things matter. the name jengi sounds familiar but there are some other fula names like jenkundi . the guy may want to be a mystery but let him welcome to the fora. like a lion waiting for his prey we shall see how he unfold .whoever you are ajarama baba.

Kondorong, You just remind me of Jemma Labani (the night is unsafe). It was a name used by a former wrestler.

KONDS, right again. My Father used to say, MBEEMEE, MBEEMAMI, MEEWEE FOOF KO GOTUM. Meaning the diversity in the dialects doesn't matter at the end of the day we are all HAALPULAREN(those who speak Fula).
So don't liken us to Bread(Mburru)

JammaJengi Koodeh Nyaari(this means the night is late and the stars are bright) as sung by baaba Maal, used to be folklore song when Futa was Futa, lots of milk, herds of Cattle, sheep and goat, the youth used to sing it and lovers too used to.

I did not liken you to bread. Its a Fulani saying not a Sarahule parable. So you must have shot yourself in the foot.

Jemma Jengi Koodeh Nyaari is a song i like well. baba Maal definitely took this song back to where it started.

I like to listen to it when i receive my salary and have some money in my pocket. You do the guessing what should happen.
