WWW.ASWATALISLAM.NET . you can listin to the whole quran without obstructing any of your work with your pc. abdul basit is said to be one of the best in tajwid. wasalam . |

| bro madis ,this latest web-site is one the best in terms of listining to lectures and quran . there is atleast all the major scholars in muslim circle . from ahmed dedat in the 80's and to present bilal philips of qatar .all of them . professor abdul hakim murad of england is a good scholar . hamsa yusuf of u.s.a and also jamal badawe who did several dailogue with christian scholars .the full monty mate . nothing extreme or over the top . brother feed your mind . i am invited to another gambian naming ceremony in another city of england . brother are procreating enmass .god bless . |

Thank you all for the links...
I have a statement and a question for anyone to comment on. It was reported that our dear prophet Muhammed (PBUH) warned us (muslims) to refrain from dividing into religious sects when he's no longer with us. Now we have the Shia's and Sunnis in the middle east, the Murits, Tijans, Lyens, Nyassen etc in Africa just to name a few of the 73 sects. Are we doing exactly what the prophet (PBUH) warned us against or is it okay to join one of the various sects?
Don't get my wrong...I have profound respect and appreciation for the huge contribution the leaders of the aforementioned groups played in Islam. I need clarification from any one please. |

CONCORT ,may be you can start a topic on the afore mension issues .the useful site should not be mix with other important questions you raised.one thing i will say is , there is some differences between shia and sunni but this is largely structural and political leadership.there some minor differences in ibadah here and there .
the others you mension can be catagorise under schools of though. the tijany ,murit ect are all sufi orders .they are not different sects. they belong to the ah-alal sunnah waljamah. they are under the sunni umbrela.
there is some division among muslims ,this are as stated earlier political and leadership division. people tend to congregate arround some one they admire. some creat a cult figure of themselfs and try to gain authgority through that. so clearly understand the difference between sects and orders and school of though. you can pray in any mosque which is closest to you and i am sure you don't go arround asking questions. .the time when serious divisions will occur is slowing taking place. now non-muslims have corn words like moderate muslim, fundermentalist ,extrimest and so on. so some are aligning themself to this type cogoon branding. this is where the real division will begin. there will be a line drawn.some muslims try to hide there deem and blame other muslim for the west backlash. the divisions will mainly be survival.have a good day. |
