Gambia’s first private commercial radio station Radio Syd was broadcasting from a vessel when it first came to The Gambia. What is the name of this vessel?

IS IT LADY WADNER?
Try again!! The ‘Swedish Pirate Queen’ Britt Wadner was the owner but the question is about the name of the vessel on which Radio Syd was first transmitting from.

You are right. There is a lot of history about Cheeta II and Radio Syd on the Internet. The vessel was a floating disco & restaurant when it arrived in The Gambia and used to be docked at the Maurel & Prom wharf in Banjul. Now it is a wretch just outside Bund Road.
Many Scandinavians know it as Radio Radio Mercur when it used to operate as an offshore pirate station in the sea between Denmark and Sweden. In the Gambia, she got a license in 1969 to transmit from land and started Radio Syd in May 1970.

Honestly, I don't know who they were. The only ones I remember were the late Deyda Hydara and his friend Pap Saine of The Point Newspaper used to be one of the DJs in the early 70s. I wonder who this DJ in the photo was?
