It reminds me of the jamaican Musician who sang a song titled:"President Botha the Mosquito". Well what it tells us, those living witnesses to history, is that the longest day must come to an end.
wALTER WOULD HAVE MADE THE FOLLOWING REMARKS:

We must be ready to ensure that when we individually enter our own twilight zones ready to meet our creator that we stand on the right of justice, so that we can raise our heads in comfort that, our lives, have for the most part been in the service of the advancement of the human race.

Anything short of that, will haunt us. As Shakespeare said: "the evils that men do live after them ....". Well we must learn to forgive but not forget. To not forgive is to be prapared to spend the rest of our lives in misery, despair and hopelessness which is infact what the oppressors intend in achiving. That is denying the oppressed any moment of pleasure and happiness.

Walter would have concluded with the ANC trademark : AMANDA.

If Walter were a Gambian he would have also said thus: MANSA KILING NA JAMANO BUKA DUNIYA BANG.

Though, he escaped justice here, he won't escape justice in the hereafter.

Botha was indeed very relentless in his support for white supremacism (apathied)in South Africa.
During his last days in presidency as international pressure mounts on his government,(the cold war heat was subsiding) Botha made a remarkable statement to white south Africans that they "must adapt or die because South Africa cannot continue under apatheid".This statement projects into the future that was brought about by F.W. De Clark.

i see that we are mostly upset of what DA mosquito has done but what about south African them self.(why?)well how it come that the south African government =ANC be the first parts to sympathies and condolences to the families of Da groot crocodile? may he never get a rest in hell.

(a Quito from his wife.Mr Botha's widow, Barbara, told the South African media her husband would not have wanted a state funeral as was his right under the constitution - and a private funeral near his home is being planned for next Wednesday.

"He wasn't a man who looked for honour and glory," she said.

what a fools woman!Hell with you Both!

Botha! the beeast is dead gone to burn in hell fire for eternity!

Whilst Nelson Mandela has out lived him
and is a living legacy for humanity

Walter Sisulu may you rest in peace brave freedom fighter
The man who plagued your existence and millions of Black South Africans
couldn't extinguish the burning desire of a free south Africa!

Botha the epitomy of evil is bound to hell
To be ravaged by its flames forever!

Rest in peace brave South African Warriors
For your deaths weren't in vain.

Winnie hold your head up high!
The man who plagued your existence
Can no longer walk on the soil of South Africa
we have not forgotten your part in in the struggle
even though you were first to be forsaken.

Botha is extinguished and doomed
Along with his role model Hitler

Now South Africa's gapping wounds have a chance to heal
No Aparthied State burial for you P W Botha
Just Hell's furnace waging for you to enter.

PW Botha even crocodile's tears will be dry
for your passing from humanity
May your soul take comfort in what know awaits it!

Good must over come evil!
Is our freedom chant
Amanla Nga Athetew! (Our Strength belongs to Us)

Was aparteid the responsibility of one man? I dont think so! It was a system that many many people sadly supported. Many international businesses made money from South Africa and so on. I dont think the blame can be put at one persons door.

When someone dies a christian is taught not to speak ill of them. That doesnt mean say good things that arent true, but just to respect their passing. It is true that some people seem to be genuinely evil. Some people are evil because of the power and position they have corrupting them. Some people are evil because they dont have the courage to stand up and be counted and are therefore evil by default.

The power of forgiveness is an incredibly powerful force. There is a difference between forgiving and forgetting. I dont think we should ever forget the terrible things that have happened in the world. But we can learn to forgive and put things behind us.

ALl things pass. We all have to make the peace with the actions we have done in our life times. I dont believe in HELL or HEAVEN. I think when you die, you cease to be. As simple as that. But you leave a footprint, a legacy. I believe in treating others as you wish to be treated. If everyone did that the world would be a much better place.

Also we should all remember that however awful a person was on the public stage, they have a private family life. Their loved ones will be mourning for them and will miss them. We should show them compassion and respect.

gambiabev. you surprise me. i will not fall for this crap nor allow it to pass unnoticed. its part of his legacy to leave people divided, if you dont see that.

Christians unlike you believe in HELL and HEAVEN. he was a Christian. Apartheid did not make him, he made it. He was one of the people who designed it in the 1940s, after opposing British/South African fight against NAZISM.

His private family mourning him are as worthy as the thousands of private families STILL mourning their chilrdren he killed, or ordered to be killed. Thabo Mbeki, a private man, still canot account for his son, yet read the words he said today.

You are talking about forgiveness to people to forgave him. he lived better than most south africans today, and had the opportunity (>15yrs) to ask for forgiveness or say sorry. He even refused to testify in the TRC.

you are right many people made money from Apartheid, the British economy being the prime beneficiary. Prime Minister Thatcher recognised this FACT when she called Mandela a TERRORIST for trying to upset the system. In 2004, her own son was arrested in Cape Town for trying to sponsor a coup, just to get some oil money.

Hitler & Co will not be lonely anymore whereever they are HELL or HEAVEN. i suggest they also keep some seats warm .........
