I have nothing against the CONTENT of the poem, I just dont like the style. That is just my personal opinion, in the same way as I like some music styles more than others and some artists more than others.
I think poetry can be beautiful, emotionally moving and thought provoking. It can be quite a self indulgent art form too. It expresses something very personal and for many many people it is the writing process that has some form of self healing. PUBLISHING: how many copies? which countries? to me that isnt important. Poetry has a value in itself and doesnt need to be justified.
Sister Omega I hope you continue with your poetry as a form of self expression. You dont have to justify it to anyone. BUT if it is in the public domain I do reserve the right to critise it. |

I have, at long last, studied Sister Omegaīs poem several times, trying to forget who wrote it. Reading it through creates a lot of images, it also has attractive rhythmical halts and draws a line from the past up to today. A poem well worth reading.
If Sister Omega reprints her book, I would be interested in buying it.
Daltons poem, to me, referes to jali (gawlo?) tradition - the mentioning of a personīs name, and the repetition. (I might be completely wrong.) Also an enjoyable poem.
Why donīt we/you all start writing poems and send them on the Bantaba? Not to be criticized, just for enjoying the variety of expressions. The subject could be chosen in advance, we will see what comes out. One subject could be adoption.
