A COLD-HEARTED SERPENT
It was still daylight in Sarehtakkoh Beautiful sunny weathers Nothing like night darkness Even when the day packed baggage Galaxies supported the walkway paths The kind of lights in Chicago Picking a needle at midnight On a grassy field.
A serpent in the grassy forest Green like the green grasses A Serpent with poisonous scales and teeth Buffy, buffy, Serpent jumped onto a leg Trying to bite and tear the flesh Trying to poison the blood Almighty’s ‘dahsito’ worked Serpent lay fainting.
Serpent climbed onto a tree by the road Strapped onto the thin branches Camouflaged with his body’s greenery I guess, gazing like a flying vulture Watching passersby walk underneath This time, attempting to get a neck bite Raising his head up-down to gaze angrily Almighty’s wind blew serpent down.
Serpent entered the deep oceans Hiding behind the sea mangroves Gazing for canoes and the ships Hoping to see a canoe or ship capsize Foolishly, serpent saw a water wave Serpent thought that was a perfect catch Serpent jumped onto the prey Before sunset, serpent drowned in demise.
Serpent can run, but cannot hide. “Pairs of eyes that will never see.” 2Pac Shakur
The author describes this poem as “OPERATION MIRROW TACKLE.”

Jambo,
Thanks for asking. This life is full of challenges.
There are some interested in killing a voice, matter or a whole good initiative. In their attempts to do so, failed miserably.
Also, the poem is generic. It is like "Who da' cap fits." Actually, not meant to bring about chaos/confusion/suspicion among contributors any way. All my poems of course relate in real meanings to the life struggle-not necessarily occuring in forums. Sometimes, it is outside, sympathising with certain individuals. Though, the situation leading to a poem like this is facilitated by some force, in a struggle to defend surival-"Battling 2 defend survival." The force is growing aggressively, requires some defensive or repulsive force to slow its speed.
But "A cold-hearted serpent", either a snake or spite person just sums up the poem in one line. It is important to note the snake being green, and his environment being green, which makes it all the way more hard for it to be distinguishable. You can clearly see how a serpent's many attempts failed-first, God's dahsito-Mandinka word for charms. Second, blown away by the wind from the tall tree. Third, how Serpent fooled his imagination to jump onto a water wave, thinking it was a perfect prey, only to demise in eternity by drowning. That tells you that only the truth will last.
Also, everyone can relate this to their own life experience. There is need for people not to be stocked in diseases of heart. Typical of snake (Serpent), is hypocrisy.
The 2pac deal is actually meant to show the strength or power of living steps ahead the enermy. Those that 2pac referred as "Pairs of eyes that will never see." You might think you are carrying all the world degrees, but you cannot apply wisdom , or you lack the iq to make sense. Nothing to do with drugs, gun violence, women etc... 2pac's was a smart guy, who could see distant far.
May be at this point you can also relate the poem to your life experiences.

I really like this poem.
Next chapter, cold-hearted serpent could be given some holy kanilai wine to lick all the way up to its tail..... |
