This is blantantly a miscarriage of Justice on behalf of the Austrian courts. Itis also a lesson in the grass is not always greener on the other side. This is the type of story Gambian journalist should be covering to educate people back home about the hazards of migratng to Europe. Along with all the other terrible migration stories so that Gambian youth and others start to make informative decisions of on which countries to migrate, and which ones to avoid. After all prevention is better than cure.

The police in question need education. Also if its not occured there need to be diverse groups recruited to join the police force so these horrible Rodney King like events will be prevented and never happen again.

The law an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

Sister Omega, you're right, journalist should cover that so that Gambians stop looking towards other countries for hope and success and start focusing on Gambia and fixing it

prevention is better, but who do you think will do this, i would have thought that the Gambia governemnt would have issued a statement against the treatment of one of its national, but they kept quiet. why. It ouwl dbe nice if the Gambia would look to each other for help, but I askyou this would gambian help them.
Sometime in Gambia it can be too inward looking, they should help the people more. Ecucation fees, jobs, cost so of living, etc.
the rich get richer, but the poor get poorer and take drastic actions with their lives.

Jambo,
You have raised a question that is akute at the moment . When i try to explain to someone at home how the situation is here. The question is always, how come you are still there? We have lost a generation in migration because of too mush disatisfaction. Some had even government scholarships, but never came back to serve the country. Others saved and traveled by sea ect. People would not listen. Nowadays, the Gambian youth would rather come to Garmany and collect a lot of the worst second hand, very enviromently unfriendly cars, and without drivers licences , drive the safari streets of Gambia. The journalist are not intrested in such artickles. We must not give up the davise we give and quote the incidents. In the long run , it will help.
