I planning to travel to The Gambia probably in the middle of November with my wife. I have been doing some research about hotels and three hotels looks promising. My question is that has anyone stayed in Senegambai, Kombo beach or Bungalow and how would they rate them. According to my research hotels in the Gambia are categorized into four groups, these are luxury, mid range, great value and quality range. Senegambia and Kombo beach hotel are considered luxury while Bungalow is considered mid range. In Senegambia Jacana room and studio are the rooms that we are considering. The Jacana is 683 pounds for two weeks per person while the studio goes about 893 pounds per person. The studio has AC but I am not sure about Jacana. Has anyone stayed in any of these rooms and if so what are they like and if so are they worth the money? For Kombo beach we are considering the superior, premium or the suite, any ideas about any of these rooms and are they worth the money. The Bungalow which is a mid range hotel is somehow more than the Senegambia and Kombo which are luxury hotels. Has anyone stayed in Bungalow beach hotel and if so what is the atmosphere and condition of the rooms. Any advice on which hotels we should stay in Kombo, Senegambia or Bungalow and if so any suggestions on which room might be the best.
Any suggestion will be highly valued

I havent stayed at bungalow beach, but I think the reason it is more expensive is that theyhave a kitchenette for you to do your own food.

Palm Beach has some new rooms in an extension that are large and nice. STaff there very friendly. Front of house Ousman Camara, if you ring and ask for him you might get a good deal!
