I would like to know if there are any fellow Gambians living anywere in Southern Africa, especially in South Africa.Having grown up in this part of Africa,i am yet to meet one Gambian.I have seen & met with other west Africans. If you are there just hola back.It will be wonderful to hear your feedback about this region, they always this seemingly on going cold war between sub-saharan Africa & the other regions, mostly evident in CAF occasions. The south accuses the west & north of collaborating against them,as seen mostly with the AFCON & the champions league.Only SA has hosted & worn the tournament;one club (Orlando Pirates)has one the champions league.I have roots in both regions & i wuld like to hear your opinions.

Che, I know some guys from Senegal who are resident in Cape Town. The area they reside is called Mobery. It is not far from Raundebosch. I do stay there when in cape town to visit our project in the townships. The street I think is next to the railway station. Are you in Cape Town or Jobug? There is a mosque not far from the said station, and on Fridays, one could meet them there during Jumah. They do infact give free lunch after the Jumah prayers. Can one contact you by phone ? I was told by the Senegalese that there is a Gambian in Jobug, but never seen or met him. Try also at the Cape Town market where the west Africans sell kolanuts, dryfish ect. |
