Delton,
No i do not belief in any superstition. I used to but not any more. You asked relevant questions. I belief that most of what you are mentioning has physical explainations. It is the case that many a solder have died believing that what they tie on their waste protects them. It is rumored that Jammeh goes to extraordinary lengths with this kind of stuff. Of course, people are free to belief what they want. However, such superstition should not interfear with their excercsie of their public duties. As far as i am concerned, no village is a "no go area" for me and if i was a cop, no where in Numi will be excempt from law enforcement.
Sure, there is hypocracy with regards to drug classification and enforcement. One could argue the merits of any drug. I would have you know that before it was banned, cocain was used as a pain killer for people who had to undergo surgery it was used to relax people too just like my friend suggested. The important point is this, the law is the law. No one should be allowed to break it at will no should one be selective about which one to obey. Whatever you may feel about any drug, your efforts should be directed at changing the law to conform to societies norms of behabior. Once the law is in place however, it should be obeyed. Supose, i locate in Baboon island in gambia, i decide that cocaine has such medical values. Baboon island is not fertile either. Can i use that excuse to then go ahead with a cocaine production lab?

COCAINE AND MANY OTHER RELATED SUBSTANCES ARE STILL USED IN MEDICINE FOR ANESTHESIA.THAT IS THE PROPER USE OF THEM. RECREATIONAL AND SOCIAL USE OF THESE DRUGS IS IMPROPER BECAUSE IT EXPOSES THE INDIVIDUAL TO ADDICTION WITH TERRIBLE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES. THIS IS THE ABUSE OF DRUGS , THAT OTHERWISE HAVE MEDICINAL VALUE. EVERYTHING IN NATURE IS THERE FOR A PURPOSE. ABOUT WHETHER PARTS OF NIUMI SHOULD BE ABOVE THE LAW AS FAR AS DRUG PRODUCTION IS CONCERNED ? MY ANSWER IS NO , AND I AM FROM NIUMI. THE LAWS OF THE GAMBIA SHOULD COVER THE ENTIRE TERRITORY OF THE GAMBIA. BUT ELIMINATING DRUG PRODUCTION IN PARTS OF NIUMI , JUST LIKE AFGHANISTAN WITH IMPOVERISHED SOIL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS COULD BE VERY CHALLENGING.IT PROBABLY REQUIRES A COMBINATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AND ALTERNATIVE ECONOMIC STRATEGY. |

Agreable folks, no place should be immuned in the policies. Without the law, we are all doomed. That's why God brought the scriptures. In resemblance, humans adopted a law. Unfortunately, the human law is either screwed up or abused. It is also as human as one can think. It is mostly meant to favor people-especially power hungry monsters. Many instances, the law makers or protectors take things into their own hands. To hell with any unfair law !
The only reason why we tied the narration of Ginak to this thread, because it sound too important to dismiss such claims, if truly they are only meant to scare authorities, knowing the kind of "yaapat" people we can have. I don't think i am brave, but i have broken myths in the past. I just believe with God's name, nothing is impossible. Supplication is more powerful than any thing that can be tied on a neck or waist.I believe in the power of supplication to God.
There, the medical valueness of these greeneries are coming. My main concern is that should be respected.
I would love to see you try to prove this wrong one day. You guys have a nice week !

I AM FROM NIUMI , A GREAT PART OF THE GAMBIA UNLIKE JARRA. HERE IS A PIECE OF POEM ABOUT A PLACE THAT MEAN A LOT TO ME. READ IT.
IT IS A COPY-RIGHTED MATERIAL.
NIUMI : Niumi is about the river Her people are of the river From Fort Bullen to James Island Are marks of tears shed A well wooded country Towering vegetative sky-scrapers Are monuments of a river within Standing at Banjul port Looking across the river I heard the whisper of Niumi As the waves caressed her cheeks Niumi is about the river Her people are of the river From Fort Bullen to James Island This is where Alex Haley walked Following the trail of a lost root I stood on the south bank Across the river is Where the water kissed the sky The ferry is what I hated about Niumi

Your poem is lovely, especially that above. The good old saying-"If we don't know where we are from, we will never know where we are going." Tell us more about Nuimi as time permits you. Wish you well in all your positive endeavors.
