The sacked Director general of the GRTS was the chair at the private sector dinner hosted to appreciate mutual bonds between government and the private sector. Bora chaired the occasion. Has he landed a job or is this another come back strategy or someone trying to mend fences. Unfortunately, his job has been filled substantatively and so "cannot" come back. Then again, you never know.

Who cares......Bora was terrible at GRTS. He propagated the Jammeh policy of monopolizing the airwaves for the APRC, and showed his bias when Deydah died....GRTS staff were not allowed to march in the protest, and on the day they decided to go off air, and did not announce the tragedy till 3 days later....in passing! So to hell with him!

Well i did not know about that. Down here in Yoro Bawol we have no signals from GRTS so we care less whether the TV is on or not. It makes no difference. Anyway, thanks for letting me know that.

It must be a shame if the TV decided to go off air so as not to broadcast the death of a fallen colleague

You see kon,

I remember when I was young, during national wrestling contests,Champions with their talismem arround them. When they threw all opponents down on the ground and danced towards the drummers and the drums went wild, the talismen would say to them :"you have no match here" and you would see them pointing towards the sky.

In my opinion, that means "unless if someone comes from the sky"I used to imagine what they meant for those in the sky are angels and God and Angels cannot wrestle with humans, even they the wrestlers knew that.

It is the same with Jammeh.Today He think he has no match in the Gambia and can do anything he wants without any interferance. He chooses who is corrupt and who is not.

Blame not Bora,he has already been mudded and cannot clean himself now.The only thing for him now is to continue being muddy. In the public eye,Bora will remain part of the system.

Peace

This is food for thought.

I remeber the wrestling contest and the talimen pointing their horns to the heavens. I think they call it MBIRI JOBO in Mandinka. meaning in direct translation the wrestling parrot. Parrots talk a lot and they alos do all the campaigns and support for the wrestler. They are known to be good at convincing and presentaing their case well.

I remember LIBO, KORO, IN MANDINKA AND ROFFO, GALGAL, CHUPA and PANTAL in Wollof.

Kon,
As you rightly said it is a food for thought, only the wise will think b4 eating.Fools see only today and cannot visualise what tomorrow holds for they think tomorrow always takes care of itself as they do not know today builds tomorrow's solid foundation.
