We queue to be seen Lined up in the streets Waiting to be noted by He who matters No matter how long it takes We queue the route Honour or dishonour Shall be dashed out to us Today and we shall then go home Covered in shame or glory For being out in the street To share the scenes of belonging Either to be rejected or conned
We queue the lines Out of fear or respect Standing up just like the evergreen trees there about Chieck passes by in his convoy of glory In gleaming amour plated rollers That pass us so swift All we see is a waving hand Clutching a white kerchief And swishing drops of packs That starts a scramble The sweet biscuits That he casts to trap Then crush the unwitting soul One sacrifice for the reign to stay
We shall queue again tomorrow Perhaps then we get honour bestowed As staying home is no option That may bring us charges and visitations Ending in misery at Mile two To eat pap and bonga for a while And feed the greedy mosquitoes too We shall queue if only to save our souls From that scary place Though our homes have prison become There we scarce dare-say naught Against the status quo As the walls all have grown ears So mute is the key word to watch To chat in the street as we queue Showing teeth as in smiles Whilst we boil hotter than Living volcanoes That wait to erupt Till then we shall queue
Surah- Ar-Rum 30-22 "And among His signs is the creation of heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge." Qu'ran
Thanks Santanfara the realities of our peoples lives are played out as in Western reality tv shows. Whereas in the former the farcical charade plays on the mind of the "poor" downtrodden folks who out of fear ; display joy or outward tolerance whilst they boil internally ; the later though, showcases life as it could be and experimenting on extremes in the wilderness. Ours is the real deal so harsh, oh so cruel and the actors there are not willing players but captives on the scenes playing out. Verily this a huge travesty and has to stop now. Strangely though it seems to me that all this hardship fails to attrack the attention of the world! I mean attrack their attention enough to get them condemning the brutal regime and slapping it with sanctions to bring it its senses if it has any ; that is.
