Waa Juwara fired and in couple of weeks charges will be filed against him and he is going to Five star hotel, where he belongs to. Waa upsetted Oga very badly and is sad to say but he is heading to his final resting place. Waa will be slammed with 20 plus years jail term.

Another one has bitten the dust...oops!

During the July 4th 2005 get-together in Atlanta (Launching of NADD), it was Juwara who told the august gathering that "How can they ask me to be law-abiding when I am not a law breaker?"

Right after the parliamentary elections leading to his defection to the APRC, Juwara told us that he was an elderly statesman from Niamina and he was required to support the APRC candidate. Slowly, slowly –he crept not unnoticed to his onetime torturer.

During the time that we were working on a UGAMA conference, Juwara rhetorically asked one of my confidants (Ebrima Dibba), thus “When last did you guys get a bag of rice in my house?”

Most recently, he was seen on TV and the Daily observer hammering the opposition and branding critics of this regime as not development oriented.

Anyway, I am not surprised of his fire. We expected this for a while.

Best,
Yero

I did predicted on this very forum that Lamin waa Juwara`s joining Jammeh was a political suicide.Now Waa is buried in his political grave and done with for good.

I couldn't agree more, Dembish. This is actually a good riddance. We now all forget about the Niamina Mbarodi and let him begin his retiremnt in poverty. Sidia jatta is already in that predicament anD u know what??? Good for him,mate.

I do not oppose unity but I oppose dumb union.

Nyarikangbanna! This is about accountability, critical censorship and another fateful day for Waa Juwara and Gambian politics; a fallen UDP lion ("Mbarodi") in records of UDP legacy and flip flop policies/strategies against mobilising to remove President Jammeh and/or topple his APRC government but not to personalise it for slander; divert attention on petty issues and Sidia Jatta CONSIDERED AS AN OUTSTANDING HUMBLE POLITICIAN, SCHOLAR, MENTOR, LEADER, DEMOCRAT, PATRIOT, FREEDOM, JUSTICE & HUMAN RIGHTS FIGHTER FOR THE GAMBIA OUR HOMELAND

A complimentary remark for Lamin Waa Juwara amongst other opposition leaders from your party leader Final Call: Statement of Presidential Candidate & Secretary General of the United Democratic Party, Ousainu Numukunda Darboe delivered on Tuesday, 22nd November 2011;
quote:
""I interrupted my law practice to challenge Yahya Jammeh. That is why Omar Jallow (OJ) resisted; that is why Sidia Jatta and Halipha Sallah resisted; that is why Hamat Bah stood up in protest; that was why Lamin Waa Juwara resisted; and that is why today, Mai Fatty stands by my side today, fighting for our freedom and Development with Dignity; despite the persecutions we have all suffered.""

I would be the happiest Gambian if our political leaders give chance to the younger generation to try a hand at uniting Gambians. Some dynamic young gambian should be able to break this grid lock.

I agree. Let halifa and sidia retire and handover pdois.Jammeh wouldn't allow second round voting system. Thus, it is imperative that pdois has a leadership that is willing to reciprocate UDP overtures rather than insisting on a unity formula that based on the totality of halifa's will. Thta was the problem the last time.

Thanks
