It now rest the speculation that Youssef Ezzidine aka Rambo is not in the state custody. It comes back to the editorial written by the Daily News that Freedom at mile two is for the highest bidder. Chei waye, chei Gambia!!
The question is what next for Lang Tombong & Co??
Best, Yero
"There is no god but Allah (SWT); and Muhammad (SAW)is His last messenger." shahadah. Fear & Worship Allah (SWT) Alone! (:
Well the next step is to file a review of the Supreme Court Judgement on Tuesday morning.. After that will be more waiting...
I would also swear on Oath that Rambo is not in mile 2 but was freed after paying $2.5m US and that a Qatari delegation negotiated his release then escorted him from the country!!!
quote:"The men’s only hope now is to file for a judicial review which is normally heard by a panel of seven judges.
And if the judges upheld the Supreme Court’s decision, the men may be executed by a firing squad."
AND OTHER RELEVANT EXTRACTS QUOTED FROM FREEDOM NEWS;
quote:"The timing of the announcement of the decision of the Supreme Court – at around midday on Friday – meant the men did not have time to file an application for review of the decision before the court registrars closed for the weekend. They will now have to wait until Monday. Ordinarily, a panel of seven judges can review Supreme Court decisions.
Lucy Freeman, Amnesty International’s West Africa Programme Director says: "The Gambian government must not carry out any executions, and commute as a matter of urgency the death sentences of the seven men - and all death row inmates .They must also uphold the moratorium on executions with a view to abolishing the death penalty.""
