We have heard it all before from both sides and for me all gets a bit boring So I’m not even going to go there you are wasting your breath like so many things in Africa
There aren’t many countries that haven’t got a chequered history or skeletons in the cupboard
I ponder this question why is it not only Gambia but also other African countries that whinge and blame their ills of today on their colonial fathers one of the richest continent on the planet with the poorest people DONT BLAME ME
You don’t hear it here in Mexico or the Philippines that’s to name but 2 countries that were conquered by the Spanish and no doubt many other countries you could name.
Many African countris have had not sure 60 years to get thier selfs sortrd snce indipendence
|There is only one answer is to move on in the real world of today. I think it safe to say every country that was conquerd was ravishes pilaged and plundered You dont here them whinging blame the colonial fatheres only Africa
Its all waste of breath nothing is going to change

Same controversial mentality from Halake (another twisted or deluded mind on colonialism and Pan Africanism); with these comments quoted below from Halake Demands New Anthem For Gambia!; covered in Bantaba History topic Origin of The Gambia National Anthem quote: "I feel sorry for my poor Gambians: even the National Anthem they sing to so heartily is a gift of the colonial power – a colonialist legacy!! Go ahead President Jammeh, please replace it with NKOSI SI KELELE AFRICA (ANC’s “God Bless Africa”). For me even the July 22 Anthem is acceptable in place of a Colonialist-penned Anthem! Until Gambia gets a new Pan-Africanist Patriotic National Anthem, I will teach my Gambian daughter only Nkosi Si Kelele."
Later, as Halake Replies to “Babanata Bulukenseng”! Halake exposed his dependence on a colonial system of education, exploiting and developing himself with family in a territory and its people despised with stupid "colonialist" crude ideology, from this quote quote: "This is the longest I have remained in UK for the last 20 years, but only because my Fulani Princess is flourishing in her London primary school and I don’t want to uproot her until she finishes primary studies."
What an irony with those dis-orienting, brainwashing and indoctrinating others on "colonialism", "white man" and "Pan African" amongst other racist rhetoric, whilst living their dream in that fair society and welfare system |

You didn't get the point and/or rhetoric? Those quotes are from the critic Halake (an Ethopian so-called Pan Africanist) who expressed dis-appointment that Gambia national anthem; "is a gift of the colonial power – a colonialist legacy!!" and instructing President Jammeh to replace "a Colonialist-penned Anthem!" with a new Pan-Africanist Patriotic National Anthem? Typical example of "blame the colonial fathers"and anti-colonial legacy
Hope you get it now |

KOBO,a thought has crossed my mind,it probably has occurred to you, could Halake be trying by raising the topic of making a king for Gambia, who has undisputed succession rights, unless he give up of course,Halake has achieved one thing making people talk ,I think there is more behind the raising of this topic than meets the eye. |
