The Senegalese went to the polls Sunday to elect a president of the Républiqu. Voters registered as voters are the number of 5,103,297, of which 23,003 voters from the military and paramilitaries. They have passed a week earlier.
The participation rate is 58%, according to the National Electoral Commission (CENA).
The first results published in the Sunday night and Monday's ranked first incumbent President Abdoulaye Wade, candidate for the Allied victory (FAL 2012).
It is followed by its former Prime Minister Macky Sall, according to the same results. Another former Prime Minister, Moustapha Niasse, came third.
Holding a second round is likely, based on previously published results.
