Good news here,BUT the UK has a problem with those from other countries who enter illegally into the UK this is not a consideration for those citizens from other countries who wish to come to the perceived land of milk and honey, the UK,from countries with a different type of administration that is the norm in western countries ,only to find when they get here that there are now no jobs for them and with the clampdown of those employers who in the past have given low paid cash work to those immigrants who should not be here but now if they are found out face a fine of £10,000,for each illegal immigrant convicted. This has problem has been heightened since the EU has expanded to new countries in eastern europe and as EU citizens have the right to travel and work in other member countries of the EU where life is much easier and wages higher ,the benefits that they are entitled to in the UK are MUCH greater than they can get in their own countries, result, too many immigrants coming with very little prospect of finding employment due to the current worldwide financial crisis.Never the less immigrants from almost everywhere try to enter the UK many of them illegally, these people consider that the risk is worth taking ,The UK cannot sustain the number of those who wish to come. The UK border agency is just enforcing the law and has no decision making authority in relation to illegal immigrants other than to prove that they are here illegally. Governments in the UK have in the past pushed this topic under the carpet and been VERY tardy in reviewing cases and reluctant to make any decision the paperwork just gets shuffled and goes round and around, hoping that it will just go away,it won't and has to be faced now and decisions made, something that politicians are very reluctant to do in case they lose votes ,hence the statement made by the Agency:
"1pm: THE UK BORDER AGENCY have just given us this quote which says nothing really...
" We do not routinely comment on individual cases. The UK Border Agency only enforces the return of individuals whom we, and if necessary the courts, are satisfied are not in need of protection and who do not elect to leave voluntarily."

This information cannot tell the full story of the incident, which is the second time these 6 Gambians have traveled without proper papers, this information does show that African countries also have rules that must be obeyed, in the words of Hajji Jawara Gambia’s honorary consul in Angolahas ,“I am not denying any Gambian to travel to Angola but they should acquire proper and valid documents so that they will not face difficulties like deportation or being kept prison,”

If anyone of the Bantaba members is able to read other languages here is a link to the newspapers and media in Angola,if you have time (and the inclination of course, )you could do a search and see if there are any reports in their press about the incident mentioned above,I don't really expect too much as the political discussion season has begun again here, but someone might like to have a go.
