Some time back this issue of Jammeh's involvement in drug trading was raised here. Sister Omega as usual came to defend Jammeh. Here are some details linking Jammeh and other dictators to drug dealings.

It is seriously bad to permit a criminal serve in public office. To have a fraudulent person as president of a nation is worst. Number of proven evidence shows that Gambian president Yaya Jammeh is in multiple criminal misconducts.
To fool around with deception about his drug dealings, Jammeh makes public statements quite contrary to his true nature:

By the way, only Jammeh is free to trade on drugs in Gambia. In his own words, he was offered $3 million by drug dealers so that he permits them use Gambia as transit point. That money alone was enough to permit all the lavish spending. On top all that, selling arms is another lucrative business that Jammeh is banking on. That is why he says Gambia is nice. Next time Gambians have to be careful permitting someone of Jammeh type in public position. Crime will never stop in Gambia with a criminal as president. |

The Gambia: 'Zero tolerance for the drug trade' "A 2009 cable written by the US embassy in Banjul, Gambia's capital, seemed optimistic about the tough anti-narcotics rhetoric coming from President Yahya Jammeh, who promised to "exercise no mercy" on drug traffickers in his annual speech in March 2009. Jammeh linked crime and trafficking to foreign groups." "His strong focus on the evils of drug trafficking is a positive development," the unclassified cable read. "But the real proof will lie in how his government takes action to defend against encroaching trafficking groups."

Karanba Don't you think Jammeh is vindicated (especially has nothing to do with billion dollar cocaine confiscated) and Gambia Ports Authority case is more of corruption, mis-management, squandering of funds by Public officials, financial scandal and state economic crimes than drug dealing from following:
