From when he robbed power by force of guns, it is clear that no moment in time majority of Gambians want Jammeh as leader. This became more serious when he began killing citizens and causing others disappear without trace. He cheated his way to become president by false pretence that it was Gambian elders that prevailed on him to resign from the army and contest elections. That was not true.
Due to the illegal way that Jammeh came to misrule Gambia, he continues employing the same dirty and cruel ways to cling on power.
With this 24 November 2011 elections, he already proved his tricks by stealing the votes in advance. Anyone who watched Jammeh during his nomination day will not miss out on his arrogance and oppressive manners. He was talking with utter contempt to Chair person of the Electoral Commission. Jammeh could not hide his domineering character with such loud, agressive tone and manner.
Adding all that up, it is clear that Jammeh has tampered with the electoral process in ways suggesting open cheating and clear fraud.
Should Jammeh turn out to hang on power, it may not stay easy for him. Gambians in large numbers are ready to confront the tyranny for a break from brutal rule. Let Jammeh fool around and expect anything near tolerance. What he exerted on Gambians in 17 can no longer carry on. End of game is nearing fast.
