Over 170 APRC Supporters Defect to the UDP in Bansang The UDP leader, Lawyer Ousainu Darboe, has called on the people of CRR to vote for him and the UDP/GMC/PPP Alliance in order for them to be free from Jammeh’s mal-administration and to reclaim their dignity and sovereignty. He was speaking at rallies held in Sami Madina and Bansang on the third day of his nationwide tour ahead of the November 24th Polls.
Darboe, a strong challenger to the incumbent Yaya Jammeh, said that the votes will determine at the end of the voting exercise on November 24th whether he will lead the Gambia or Jammeh. ‘’We all know that the present Gambian situation needs to CHANGE and no one can do that well than the electorates. '' He added. ‘‘If we want to have a peace of mind, we should make concerted efforts to unseat Jammeh from power as he has done more harm than good during his seventeen year rule. ''Darboe charged.
According to Darboe, the globe is changing and the wind of that change has started blowing in the Gambia. He advised the people to come out in their large numbers to vote on Election Day in order to end the bad governance system in The Gambia. ‘‘Abstaining from voting means you are creating an avenue for a bad government to continue’’, he said, noting that what matters much is for you, the people, to vote against Jammeh and vote for me for development with dignity and to be liberated from all forms of maltreatment by the Jammeh government.
Mai Fatty, the GMC Leader, speaking earlier at the rallies, also echoed similar remarks emphasizing that the November election will be a history in the Gambia as the larger Gambian population are yearning for change through a ballot box. He urged women and young people to vote massively as the year 2011 is a change for The Gambia. Mr. Fatty cited other nations where changes took place through the ballot box and urged Gambians to emulate the same.
Meanwhile, over 170 APRC militants in Bansang have defected to the UDP.

Taking into account the high level of abuse in Jammeh's 17 years misrule, those who defect to UDP are taking the most sane decision. Wish more people see the light and to dump Jammeh for now and ever.

Sister Omega! Election day is all about ELECTION SHAMBLES; JAMMEH'S MILLIONS AND "WE PLEDGED OUR FIRM ALLEGIANCE!" "OUR PROMISE WE RENEW!" from IEC, Ministers, Regional Governors, Chiefs, Alkalos, Imams, Community elders, National Youth Services, GRTS, Supreme Islamic Council, APRC Hajj pilgrims, Law Enforcement agents, Projects, Tractors, Vehicles, Moto-Bikes, Threats and State terror will do the TALKING AND "LEVEL PLAYING FIELD"!
HOPEFULLY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" MESSAGE WILL BE MAGICAL AND WORK MIRACLES
THE GAMBIA NATIONAL ANTHEM IS NOT INSPIRING THE VISIONS, LEADERSHIP AND GOOD GOVERNANCE "FOR THE GAMBIA OUR HOMELAND" "THAT ALL MAY LIVE IN UNITY" FREEDOMS AND PEACE EACH DAY" "AND JOIN OUR DIVERSE PEOPLE TOWARDS THE COMMON GOOD" !

Janyangfara Bansang is Darboe's hometown it still remains to be seen whether or not the town will back him fully against the APRC. What will Darboe do for the people of Bansang that the ARC hasn't done? The vote on 24th November will determine who will be given mandate to rule The Republic of The Gambia and that decision should be respected. |

I am back!! If you know the perception of the Gambian youths then surely you will think twice before brushing aside the inroads UDP are making. Come 24 November 2011, The Gambia will be liberated from APRC regime tyranny. |

Sister Omega, where were you when Maomar Gaddafi was killed after shamefully been betrayed by the man Jammeh who called him GOD. Yes, he referrred to the windfall of oil money from Gaddafi as "Allah's World Bank" He later betrayed the man and ordered his assets frozen.
By the way, this is no wishful thinking. Gambians are totally fed up with deception and brutal killings. You better give your man some psychotherapy. He is far too much overloaded. All the beans are scattered. Can of worms all over the ground.
You have betrayed Jammeh Sister Omega. The campaign is far advanced now though we know Jammeh had no time limit. His is 24/7 365, 360 degrees. Are you sure after Jammeh is dumped by Gambians you will stay by him. Please come in the open to show you are loyal. |

Karamba stick to the issues my friend you surpass foolishness.
History is written by the victors so let's wait and see whether or not the Libyan people do a u-turn in their thinking towards Gaddaffi in 5 years time. Now it's been reported that tribal wars are now erupting in Libya.
Jammeh is set to win the elections it is going to take a miracle if Gambians wake up on the 25th and Darboe's in charge. No matter what vortex is spun up here in cyberspace the majority of Gambians have no access to the net. One thing, I know is APRC militants started compaign in Bansang when I was there last year. The view there on the ground was although Darboe was from the area a lot of people thought that voting for him was a wasted vote. They didn't like his tribalistic politics.
The APRC has brought a lot of development to the town and people have long memories on how Darboe turned his back on his supporters in 2001 waiting for divine intervention from the west to come and rescue his ass. If the man can't stand his ground and hold his corner. How the hell do you expect him to manage the country.
The opposition would be better off with new Leaders. By the opposition starting to get their act together within the final stages of the election campaign just goes to show how unorganized they really are. a All the bravado is just that bravado. I am yet to be convinced of their capability of advancing on the progress already made in the Gambia since 1994 up until now.

Welcome back Bro, As they say time is a teller. Both of us have been here before the only constant in this life is change regardless of the outcome on 24 November the APRC set the standard so whosoever wins must surpass the developments that have been sustained in the country. Now it's for the voters to decide who they trust to give the mandate to. Will it be Darboe, Bah or Jammeh. That is the question we all await the answer. |

Oho Sister Omega, you lost the plot. Last time some heard Gambians speaking, the secret deceptive plot by Jammeh on that slanderous tribal tagging is long thrown out of the window. People are fed with the stealing, killing and massive corruption. Jammeh has compromised the good seat of presidency in Gambia. This is not between Darbo and Jammeh. It is a war between Jamme and rest of Gambia. He is nothing bu5t a thief and killer. Things will come to light sooner than you ever thought about. If you are the person that you claim to be stay with Jammeh as he sits crying in the public square.
To steal this elections and expect Gambians take that for a chance, you must be dreaming Sister Omega. |

Shut up Karamba what are you babbling on about again who lost what plot when. Don't shoot the messenger if the UDP can't take constructive criticism that's you'll problem the issue can be settled by Darboe ensuring enough translators are in his team to include all of the ethnic groups when he speaks. Then people wouldn't complain. So wind your neck back in. For every corrupt politician Jammeh has sacked your team has welcomed them in with open arms and embraced them. Now you're hiring marabouts to try give Jammeh cancer. Freedom blog just issues so much lies and spins them for truth. You Guys are just desperate wonna be's and broke down assylum seekers dying to come home and get a piece of the treasury to divide up amongst yourselves. The only things you have in common is your pure hatred for Jammeh period. Now when since hate build anything good and lasting. It seems you are flagging in your faith to win the election what's up you afraid you'll going to lose again? |

quote: On behalf of the leadership and entire membership of ADC I hereby congratulate you President Jammeh in advance for the confirmation of your victory in the ongoing fraudulent and unfair election process. No doubt you did win the election before going to the polls and the opposition has strengthened your victory by selfishly refusing to unite against you. You won the election during the voter registration period this is why you declared not to campaign to be re-elected."

Sister Omega, the key issue is about amount of blatant abuse since Jammeh forcefully seized political power by barrel of the gun. Does it matter anything to you seeing Gambian blood flooding every family door step as Jammeh takes joy and proud in his capability to maim and kill ? Gambians are not thinking about just another bogus elections. It is time that Jammeh gets off people's back. Gambians are tired. That is the message you need taking to Kanilai. Be assured that Jammeh shall never continue to abuse power as done in last 17 years without facing what is deserved. UDP and all other political parties have enough capable men and women to defend their position. My engaging any deluded Jammeh fanatic is not about scoring for any single political party. The point is, Jammeh lied and deceived Gambians too long. On top of that he killed many loved ones and bread winners of families. That is the challenge he needs to face when taken to the ICC.
My appeal to you in particular is that you stay by Jammeh even as night turns into day for him. If you are true to your words, this is the time to show Jammeh you ever cared. Wake up. It is day break in Gambia. Political demogogues and fanatical blind following is gone past. |

Karamba Thank you and to add that; "every citizen is enfranchised to decide destiny of nation," which cannot be high-jacked? Also all political parties, its leaders and policies are credible, so why should any party always try dominate/steal credibility and attempt to side-line others in the national struggle for change of a brutal leader and bad government
UDP Leader's New year message"We ask all our citizens to be an integral part of the change they seek by getting involved in whatever capacity suits them. Change is always a difficult task and along the way it is easy to become despondent, fearful, tired, angry, and sometimes be tempted to throw in the towel. But because the cause we have embarked upon is a just one that must be pursued, we must all strive harder to achieve these important goals. We however, can do it only if we come together as one and face the opponent. This cause is bigger than any individual or group of individuals."

Without doubt Kobo, sweeping away Jammeh to the bin is what Gambians share as one goal. There is no no need for dagger flashing bewteen the good men and women working on cleansing Gambia of Jammeh.
I'm gonna be little more blunt with Sister Omega. No doubt, Sister Omega is nothing to Jammeh as Saif Al Islam is to Moamar Gaddafi. Sister Omega will will run away soon as Jammeh is put under control. Al Gaddafi was stronger and more full of dangerous weapons than Jammeh will ever be. He gave up, why not Jammeh.
Clear as day light, Gambians will no longer permit Jammeh to keep this brutal reign of terror.
Sister Omega, you are one typical cluesless individual. In the narrow scope of your shallow mindset, anyone opposed to the brutal dictator Jammeh has either lost something to Jammeh or looking for papers in Europe. You are wrong. Gambia has enough concerned citizens who will not sit and watch the dictator carry on this madness. It is so sad that you lost this vital human element of balanced thinking.
Lot of Gambians are running very successful career pursuits and helping scores of others. It is Jammeh who could not create anything for himself and by weakness robbed the whole nation. No clean Gambian would want to be like Jammeh. Taking what belongs to everyone and behaving as though he inherited even a goat not to mention wealth. Only people like you with no clear outlook of life count Jammeh as anything other than a common criminal and rogue.
You better get ready for what will be revealed soon as Jammeh is finished up. Gambians are not fools. Tolerance, of course Gambians are tolerant. That must not be abused beyond certain point. Don't run away from Jammeh when his day is over.
