Duty free It’s a joke One would think to buy items in a duty free shop there is no vat so items would be 20% cheaper This is not the case as in most instances you can buy the same item on the internet cheaper than the Duty free shops
Take cigarettes the duty on a packet of 20 the duty is around £5.40 so if truly duty free the cigarettes should cost 60 pence for a packet of 20 As all smokers know this is not the case In this case you can usually buy them cheaper at your destination Depending on where you go
