Aji Yamu Secka and her entourage received a warm welcome from the villagers of Mbanta in the NRR. According to Fatou Nyang, the main speaker for the villagers, they are farmers and they have been and continues to have problem finding a market for their groundnut produce since Jawara left office. They also have no storage for their garden produce. '' We need to engender change if we are to live comfortable lives'', she added. She then introduced over thirty (30) defectors from the APRC to the visiting team. The defectors then in turn, adopted Aji Yamoundow Gaye, assistant secretary general, female wing, as their mother. Ms Gaye expressed delight for this development and promised to return to the village soon.
