Sarcasm is very common in western world and I use a lot, but it is not universally accepted. We do use ironic situation in western world with the sarcasm in many situation, I think Africans, Middle Eastern people do not have it. Not that if there is anything wrong with it, it is just observation.

I have experienced many situations, African misunderstands when I am being sarcastic and pointing out the irony. For example, in Turkey which share some of the similar characteristics with Gambian, younger generation understand sarcasm more than older generation and I figured they are more influenced by western pop culture watching all American show that humor is totally based on sarcasm.

What do you think?

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

Turk you comments to me of just being sarcastic I saw as insinuations both negative traights and nothing to be proud of

Sarcasum

It requires very little brain power to be sarcastic? puns or other 'true' jokes for example, actually need some sort of a sense of humour, intelligence and/or wit.
Karina L., Kingsgrove

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit since its aim is to belittle or hurt someone, and to laugh at their expense;
On the other hand, true wit associates with the word "levity", and boosts everyone's spirits, being aimed at an action, a happening or an attitude.
Mary Purnell, Revesby

Sarcasm is generally negative, and tends to hurt, which places it on the lowest rung of the humour ladder.
Sandy Parkinson, Hilton WA

Insinuations

An indirect or covert suggestion or hint, especially of a derogatory nature:
something that is insinuated; especially: a sly, subtle, and usually derogatory utterance
He criticizes his opponents by insinuation rather than directly.
An indirect (and usually malicious) implication

Either way as you said befor no I didnt get it and also as you say you use it a lot. Not a very good personality traight

turk,You really owe snuggles an apology, your tactic to force him off bantaba so that it could return to its previous use as an exclusive political platform for the never ending circle of P.G.didn't work.

I don't offer apology for expressing my opinion. I don't have any tactic to force anyone off bantaba which is just your hallucination due to your sleeping tablets.
