I think Malaria and Malnutrition kills more Gambians than Jammeh can ever imagine so misplaced priorities once again, I totally agree Turk it's not even comparable since most or all of the accusations are unsubstantiated anyways and most are exposed right here in cyberspace, There is something funny about how Gambians view justice................................Peace

MOE,he is a fair and just man,and as you know VERY VERY good at what he does, why do you think that some others are totally confused and jelous and cannot think up a way to clear the mess they created for him and save face at the same time?,my favorite Gambian is the best.

turk, understand me well, I am not confirming or refuting in any ones favor but curious about the reliability of your arguments.

Should you be taken seriously, when you compare “Infant mortality” with “death due to political oppression” as an argument of legitimation in Turkey, USA? If you are serious, then you are throwing the baby with the bathwater.
Secondly, does human right, as you understand it, include universal health care issues?

Small dembis long time bro, Of course I will always give you an honest answer and you can come back and test me next year or revisit what I state here daily. Jammehs presidency I beleiev is starting in 2011, the last 17 years was just turmoil , hatred, and propaganda, Lets measure his achievement in real time and then judge him after 2016 for 2011 is a foregone conclusion. The last 17 years was more like total chaos and his presidency was really never recognized or given the credit it deserved.. Starting 2011 it's only fair to give him his dues. I think whilst everyone was yapping I was the First Gambian to write about a Presidential term limit revisit the Archives bro. I haven't seen him say or do anthing that is far fetched or unexpected , we are all Gambians and we know what and how we react. I have seen a man with no shoes, one eye, and a whole bunch of Talibe's cure what the most advanced societies are clueless about so what can I say to convince you otherwise. I am Gambian all the way to the last "Yahh" so I will not sit here and betray the trust of what I have seen done in Africa, I ain't that westernized yet bro. When I was a little Man when I went to Gambia for Holiday I used to ride my Grandpa's "NGANDEN BAILA" do you know what that is?. There is my straight and honest answer and take note I am NOBODY

Well I didn't expect such a sustained intellectual arguement that would leave me feeling very

Moe - First & foremost; I would love to elaborate more but I am almost sure you are able to name far more than one innocent person in Mile 2 so why would you need me to do so?

Secondly. Do you consider yourself a substantive critique of human rights violations in Gambia or do you prefer defending the indefensible?

Turk - There are hundreds of previous discussions on here. I'm interested as to why you chose that particular one? I didn't realise there are other issues that you feel I should be addressing. Thank you for pointing it out and I'll try to source earlier postings that I could respond to

I dont know a single innocent person at mile two prisons that's for sure what I know is that there are people that are scape goats none the less, still guilty by association or guilty of what ever they were accused of, scape goats maybe, but their hands were not clean Bro, They ran out of favor as we like to say so they don't complain, they were found guilty by a court of law whether the process is flawed or not.
I don't think you expect me to condone Abuse at any level or standard but I know what obtains , There is NYAKA HELL Gambians the likes in cyberspace, who have no capacity to think or even come out correct. It proves that if there is like 10 or 15 in cyberspace shiiit , they have descendants everywhere in Gambia so picture the possibilities , add power and it all spells disaster...............................Peace

Big sheickh moe you have not answered my question yet. you just answered the aids cure question and that is fine with me. if yahya can cure your impotent underworld and put you on gamtv or your mom or sister that have aids then you will have some morals. Never mind your grand father does some magic and you like it, this is about a president that should govern and not cure. Stop calling people names and no one is small but yourself. you should learn morals and respect your opponent. typical green boys behavior.

Look small man!! or "SBO" aka "small but old" If any of my relatives was shown on TV and they respond positively towards the treatment which no doubt according to Gambians it works, well I will make sure they are public speakers for the programme. My Grand father is not a magician and BTW if you say his name three times he will haunt you in your sleep Small dembis. You are a disbeliever d. or should I say ABU Jahlin........................Peace

Oh. Why bring USA!!!! I thought you are not racing with them. Anyway. I am realistic. If I am dealing with the problem, first thing I do it to see what I have. If you have 50,000 dalasi investment, you will not build a house for villa. You probably plan for something little. Or if you want a bigger house, villa, you don't start from roof. You start from the base. When you get more money, you start walls, than roof.

USA has already solve the problem of infant mortality. Gambia did not. My daughter is going to day care, there are no more than 12 students per class with one dedicated teacher and one specialized teacher with 4 years of education. In Australia, there is a vaccination registry. Meaning, when you go to family, doctor, you must vaccinate and that is accessible from the database accessible. In Gambia, we have 40 students in class with a teacher who is does not have proper education in psychology. There is no such thing as family doctor. They still rely on non-medical methods for health.

As much as you don't admit that it is race and catching up, but it is to catching up. Everything in this life to catch up for better standard. I work 12 hour per day to catch up for better life. Gambia is behind catching up the universal standards. It does not matter your nationality race. The number of students per teacher is a universal measurement stick and you want to catch the standard. If you have 40 students per teacher today. And If another country has 12 students per teacher, you want to catch up that country.

I would probably don't make this argument in USA, because, I don't need to because, USA child mortality rate is not a problem. They solve the issue. Gambia did not. Gambia needs to solve it. With the limited resources, it can't solve all the problems at the same time. So what do you do. Prioritize. You first do the first immediate issue. If every year hundreds of child is dying in Gambia. That is my priority. Sorry.

You are right about health care is human rights. But you and I, and everyone else know that we are mostly talking about human rights in terms of political rights. You did not know that?

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

turk,
so you mean if Turkey is not able to reduce the rate of “Infant mortality” then grown-up “death due to political oppression” is accepted. If Turkey is able to reduce “Infant mortality” would grown-up “death due to political oppression” be accepted?

In Gambia we strife to reduce both “Infant mortality” and “death due to political oppression”. We do not use one to legitimate the other.

Janko. Have you ever heard the term called, prioritization? When one can't tackle problems due to lack of resources, time to deal with all, one prioritize the problems. If problem A is causing 500 units of suffering. Problem B is causing 5 unites of suffering. If Country X has only resources to resolve one problem. I would first solve the problem A because it has more impact on the nation. It requires immediate attention. However, if people are just focusing on Problem B. That to me, is not a smart politics. Politics must be creative (your words) and needs to be efficient (my words) for the best outcome for the people.
