May God watch over everyone wronged by HE and may they live to see the day when he loses his seat of power and answers for what HE has done; the devastation he has caused families when our loved one's disappear for months on end without a trace. May HE see with great clarity what he has done and may he choose today to free the one's HE KNOWS are innocent!
Amen

That would indeed be a great present to the people,I hope that your idea of a "political Amnesty (?) " is taken up,afer all that can only be a benefit to H.E. which he does need his image is suffering a few dents, such an action would smooth a few wrinkles .Excellent recommendation,Lets wait and see,the day is not over until midnight and your prayer may be answered. |

A message from a Gambian, representing people of overwhelming majority of Gambians, with different perspective of Jammeh.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

In your text that you sent your spelling is a bit suspect turk, but bearing in mind that today you must be rushed off your feet making arrangements that's understandable. |

There was a previous discussion...
Gambia's Infant mortality rate (deaths/1,000 live births) : 74.2 Under-five mortality rate (deaths/1,000 live births) : 128.2
Considering Gambia's population 1,705,000 with 2.60 approx 45,000 birth. Meaning that means every year 3339 babies die. 5769 children under 5 dies.
If Gambia jumps only one country in the list of the countries, which is Tanzania.
Infant mortality rate (deaths/1,000 live births) : 72.6 Under-five mortality rate (deaths/1,000 live births) : 118.4 That means every year 3267 babies die. 5328 children under 5 dies.
That means very small improvement will save 72 babies, 441 under 5 each year.
What is causality of death due to political oppression in Gambia? Do you think that we spend/distribute our energy effectively? It looks like there are more energy spent on political rights than universal health care issues which has much more impact on Gambian society. What is your take on this? |

Turk that will be really indebth, so I doubt scope will really elaborate on that topic but hopefully mine will be addressed. First of all scope, Jammeh is not responsible for the people being lost in the Justice system. The Justice system in Gambia has proven to be a total failure due to so many underlying factors starting from the incompetent Lawyers and Judges presiding over cases, for I simply cannot understand a system that abuses citizens in the process of delivering justice. Law suits and cases are pending left and right mainly due to lack of interest and lack of resources.
You scope, tell us one person that is incercerated at MILE TWO that is innocenct or what do you Deem INNOCENT...........................Peace |

There is no question about human rights issues exist in Gambia. The question is how bad it is. Do we have 1 person per day are dying because of human rights violations? That is bad. And the question is if one is really smart enough to be efficient to prioritize the issues to overcome. |
