I wish to sponcer a student at a Junior Secondary school in the Gambia
What are the yearly costs or term costs for the tuition

hi snuggels, can I ask do you want a private school/semi private or government school.  i can give you some examples of what I paid last september for year 8 students. St Theresa is 700 dls for year 8, St Peters is 1300 dls. Baku upper basic 800 dls. ndows, Marina, West African can be 5,100 a year. these are all in the Greater Banjul area. Other areas might have a different set of fees. Anglican mission in farafenni it is 2,100 dls, St Francis near Brufut is a boarding school it is 3,800 dls a year this included boarding fees. At the time i was getting 48 dls to one uk pound.
I do not know the fees for the muslim schools, i am sure someone can help you with this.
i hope this helps, do you have a child in mind. please see it through, it will be money well invested. If possible pay the school fees in advance, let the parents know what you are doing.
I only pay if the parents can afford the school fees if something happens to me. I would hate to promise to pay school fees and then something happens and the money is not paid, the child will not be allowed to progress in school.

Thank you for the information. The person im thinking of sponcoring goes to the Junior Secondary school in Serrekunda which I belive is a state school but Im not sure. I want to find out the costs as I dont whant to be ripped of which Im sure you appreciate.
So any advice is appreciated |

| hi there, do you have a name of the school, if possible can someone send you a ltr from the school advising of the school fees, or are you dealing with the family. Will you keep the child in state school.. |
