Would someone care to explain

Am not sure whether such is the case? Rape is a despicable heinous act!

Contrary to common stereotype that Muslims are weird, dangerous, 'not so modern', terrorist. We are actually normal humans. We worry about bills, our children, getting married, education, music, career, friendship. We don't usually look for one year old to sexually abuse, try to bomb something.... We are normal. There are 1.6 Billion Muslims in the world from Bosnia to China, from Nigeria, to Fiji.

Moe My thread doesn’t make me a racist like any thread is to get the views and thoughts of other bantaba members It might be controversial but that does not make you a racist but if that your view which you are entitled so be it
However my son and sister in-laws 1 from Malta and 1 from Ireland and 1 from Malaysia also my 2 son in-laws 1 From Gambia and 1 black American would disagree
My view is because Turk would not respond to the main article but just kept coming back with different questions and attacking and insulting and making false accusations of being a paedophile one could view that as being racist But because I don’t know the guy who am I to say he is a Racist
I also think Turks view of how the AVERAGE person views Muslims is wrong if that’s what he thinks again so be it I really really don’t have a problem with it
Finaly Thanks Turk for the videos very intresting and informative thats what we need |

If you don't get the point of 'your being pedophile' as implying of your original question, there is nothing I can do. Like I said, you are not smart person to understand what is said. My questioning you was hypothetical and sarcasm. I did not say you are pedophile. My expecting you to respond the charges of being pedophile just because of your profile is as silly as your original question and expecting a response. Don't you get it.

Another member has already asked what awaits women when they enter heaven, and having time on my hands, I searched on the internet, but unfortunately there is little information on this subject and if there is it is very vague.

I think the best way to learn about different religion and culture, actually, is to hang out with those who are from different religion and culture. I found Buddhism to be very cool religion. One of my co-worker is Chinese Buddhist from India. Imagine, Chinese speaking English with Indian accent. I found him to be very peaceful, relax and calm. I think eastern religions are more about spirituality between individual self and God than Judea-Christian-Islamic which are more about the rule about daily life and control. |

There are so much negativity about Muslims. As Muslims we need to show others that we are actually happy being Muslim and but our religion is not everything about us. We do like arts, music, travelling, socializing with other non-Muslims as well. We are all representatives of our community, ummet-is Islam. |

Turk, I hear what you are saying, but unfortunately I live in a predominantly white working class area. The only time I ever have any cultural experience is when I order a meal from my local chinese/indian take away. Thats why I love to travel..not to relax and take in the sun's rays, but to try and immerse myself in other people's cultures; so interesting. I am so envious of people like yourself, and Snuggles who are obviously well travelled. Hopefully my lottery numbers will come up tonight |

I can understand. That is the feeling I got when I go to work everyday. At least I am lucky, I have some Chinese/Indian nerds in IT field. That is exactly what I understand from travelling. But keep in mind, travelling does not have to be expensive. If you have little planning for a long-break. It can be relatively cheap to live in a country i.e. three months. Long ago, I paid only about 50 dollars per month in a room with compound in Africa. It was fun. Gambia is a good option for you to learn Islam if you are really interested in. Obviously, tourists do not have much opportunity, but there are some very good scholars in Gambia. I know one guy who studied Islam in Egypt and Saudi Arabia graduate level. In fact, I was in his family home, I have seen more books than mine (and I thought I have big collection). His poor home has huge library of Islamic books and he is an high ranking government official involving Islamic affairs.
I can also recommend Turkey. Turkey has long tradition of Sufi (Whirling Derwishes) which is very liberal/moderate perspective on Islam with more spirituality focus. Non-touristic areas like central anatolia or black-sea region you may find people are more conservative and they are eager to socialize with tourists. See, there are many options. lol.
And come on, England is one of the most diverse country in the world. I am sure you can find people from different cultural groups to socialize.
Unfortunately, tourists do get friends from Gambians but most of them people met on the beach, bumpsters or people hanging out in tourists areas. It takes little extra effort to meet people like the one I was talking about. In one or two weeks vacation, you will not have friends like them. |
