Muslim Women

This was written by a woman born in Egypt as a Muslim.

Joys of Muslim Women
By Nonie Darwish
In the Muslim faith a Muslim man can marry a child as young as 1 year old and have sexual intimacy with this child. Consummating the marriage by 9.
The dowry is given to the family in exchange for the woman (who becomes his slave) and for the purchase of the private parts of the woman, to use her as a toy.
Even though a woman is abused she can not obtain a divorce.
To prove rape, the woman must have (4) male witnesses. Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and the family must return the dowry.
The family has the right to execute her (an honour killing) to restore the honour of the family.
Husbands can beat their wives 'at will' and he does not have to say why he has beaten her.
The husband is permitted to have (4 wives) and a temporary wife for an hour (prostitute) at his discretion.
The Shariah Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life of the woman.
In the West World ( America and Britain ) Muslim men are starting to demand Shariah Law so the wife can not obtain a divorce and he can have full and complete control of her.
It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending American Universities and British Universities are now marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children unsuspectingly to the Shariah law.
By passing this on, enlightened American and British women may avoid becoming a slave under Shariah Law.

Ripping the West in Two.

Author and lecturer Nonie Darwish says the goal of radical Islamists is to impose Shariah law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty in two.
She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law.
Darwish was born in Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before immigrating to America in 1978, when she was eight years old.

Her father died while leading covert attacks on Israel . He was a high-ranking Egyptian military officer stationed with his family in Gaza . When he died, he was considered a "shahid," a martyr for jihad. His posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in Muslim society.

But Darwish developed a sceptical eye at an early age. She questioned her own Muslim culture and upbringing..

She converted to Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television.

In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping Sharia law - what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries.

For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose Sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed.

Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the dignity of each individual.

Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world. Peace and prosperity for one's children is not as important as assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and eventually in the world.

While Westerners tend to think that all religions encourage some form of the golden rule, Sharia teaches two systems of ethics - one for Muslims and another for non-Muslims.

Building on tribal practices of the seventh century, Sharia encourages the side of humanity that wants to take from and subjugate others.

While Westerners tend to think in terms of religious people developing a personal understanding of and relationship with God, Sharia advocates executing people who ask difficult questions that could be interpreted as criticism.

It's hard to imagine, that in this day and age, Islamic scholars agree that those who criticize Islam or choose to stop being Muslim should be executed.

Sadly, while talk of an Islamic reformation is common and even assumed by many in the West, such murmurings in the Middle East are silenced through intimidation.

While Westerners are accustomed to an increase in religious tolerance over time, Darwish explains how petro dollars are being used to grow an extremely intolerant form of political Islam in her native Egypt and elsewhere.

(In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. and Britain To elect the President by themselves! Rest assured they will do so... You can look at how they have taken over several towns in the USA .. Dearborn Mich. Is one... And there are others..)

( Britain has several cities now totally controlled by Muslims)

I think everyone in Australia , U.S. and Great Britain should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

It is too bad that so many are disillusioned with life and Christianity to accept Muslims as peaceful.. Some may be but they have an army that is willing to shed blood in the name of Islam.. The peaceful support the warriors with their finances and own kind of patriotism to their religion.

While America and Britain is getting rid of Christianity from all public sites and erasing God from the lives of children the Muslims are planning a great jihad on America .. ( Britain and probably Australia ) ..

Snuggles

Your posts are very boring, self centered and you always have the objective of scoring points, about self satisfaction, intellectual orgasm, suspicious agenda. You always want to score on point on Islam by bringing the extreme negativeness. Do you remember you LIED to bantaba once that you participated in a seminar and report a seminar bashing Islam. It turned out that, you did not participated a seminar actually, but you copy and paste a harsh criticism about Islam from an internet site. You tricked us and lied. I mean, I really think that you have a hidden and very negative agenda, but not really genuinely discuss Islam with bantaba members. I do not think your approach is respectful. It is more like you want to provoke.

Turk,I do not want to get involved in this topic at all what people believe is their own business, your reply to snuggles on the issues he has "cut and pasted" from somewhere should be disproved, as if true expose some very bad things things that "the average person" would find totally abhorant, and if that is so should be put right by verifiable rebuttal, basically I see your posting as in no way helpful, being a critism of the poster only and nothing to do with the issues raised.

I am not being critical at all, what I would like you to do turk is to tell us all where snuggles is inaccurate by citing verifiable material, although I will agree that there is no information in snuggles post as to where this information came from and if it is accurate, however that being the case show us where what he has posted is wrong,if you cannot then it would be wise if we all waited for scholars who know about these things to tell us that what snuggles has posted is completely wrong.
I do not know, and as I have written before what people believe in is there own business.EXCEPT where it harms another human being.

Look I appreciate that some of the religious folks in our bantaba forum like Mansa, concort, santafara, Momodou etc. have the maturity, tolerance and sincerity about others' religions more than some of the non-Muslims and some of the ultra secular folks who would want to provoke in every opportunity.

This is very provocative, I expect from some of the bantaba members to have decency not even post something like that charges 1.6 billion Muslims as a pedophile.

I think this posting is only bull****. Google any of the sentences and you will find ”urban legends”, "unknown authorship", "N D has denied writing this piece" and so on, it says pretty much what it's worth.

This time I completely agree with Turk, his reply was well balanced. I am almost about to add his name to the list above...
Snuggles threw the piece like a torch of fire just to provoke, not to arouse serious discussion about some phenomenon in Islam. Neither did he state what his own point of views. The content is not worth discussing.

Turk, I agree with your observation. I see this posting as trying to score points against Islam and its just because of our tolerance that we accept it being posted here.
Snuggles, there are many cultural aspects mixed with Islam depending on where one is which does not make those practices Islamic. It would help if you state the source.

"Analysis: Despite the attribution at the top — "Joys of Muslim Women by Nonie Darwish" — this text wasn't written by Nonie Darwish; indeed, the bottom two-thirds of it refer to her repeatedly in the third person. Darwish confirmed via email that she did not write the article, though it is, in her words, "to a large extent accurate." She said her 2009 book, Cruel and Usual Punishment, better represents her views.

It should be noted that though the article is at least partially based on Darwish's personal experiences growing up in a Muslim country and reading the Qur'an, it's awash in generalizations and makes pronouncements about Islam and Islamic practices that don't necessarily hold true for all Muslims.

For more on Nonie Darwish's views in her own words, see Cruel and Usual Punishment (Interview) - FamilySecurityMatters.org, 8 January 2009.

Do you remember that there was another article like this. It was posted here. It was written by a university professor from Canada. I got that name and wrote an email protesting about the article. The university admin investigated and found out that the article has never been written with this lady professor, and she is actually now retired. I reported this back to bantaba.

Here it is

even though mr turk you feel offended for the article , but you should know that people like me is interested. the article might not be true or lacks fact but if i recall my mind from the little hadiths and verses i know they look similar and that i know both me and you. do you remember that when we go to heaven , we men are promised 70 virgin women. what about the women then ? we have 1000 questions to asked and people like you will not like it but instead wish to apply sharia on the doubters.abrahamian family or religion is the worst thing that has happen to mankind. my last question is what kind of race was adam or eve ?asian ,african , european or what and at what time do they exit ?

Dembis

Open a new topic and inquire about your questions. For example, men being promised 70 virgin women, and what about women? I can see it, as a woman, you want to be rewarded too. lol. Maybe they are rewarded with Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington etc.

I welcome questions and I appreciate people's doubts about strict Islamic law. And there is nothing wrong with a good debate, if one is very sincere. The problem with religions debate usually is not about disagreements. Religion is very sensitive subject. Problem usually arrogance, disrespect, bigotry, scoring points when you discuss religion. If you are not sincere, tolerant, respectful and open minded, you will not go anywhere with a religious discussion. I guarantee that.

For the question about race of mankind. I read somewhere and there are religious and scientific references that first man was a dark skin man from Africa. And most of Abrahamic religions are actually originated in regions where Afro-Asiatic people (Amaric, Semitic people, Habeshe, Nubians lived) live.

I did state where this came from well who it was by ok
Im glad that it provokes dicussion I thought thats what Bantaba was all about. But you have not said anything about the issues raised

Regarding the seminar you qouted how do you know i wasnt there
I reported what others who were also there reported You made an assumption. The problem with assumptions is When not in receipt of all the facts any conclusions are inevitably wrong

I wont say im not a beliver but i dont have much faith in any of the religions. More prople have been killed in the name of religion than all the wars put together.

The problem is today we cant do or say anthing about muslims or islam in case we upset people like you
Even in many schools the traditional english christmas pantomine has been cancelled in case it upsets muslims and there are many more instances.

You also mentioned pedophiles I didnt but please tell me what other religion allows children to marry at such a young age
Google Muslim Child Brides

I could go on and criticise the cathorlic church and whats been happening there especialy in Ireland and also the church of england on the childrens homes here in the UK But not like you we take the criticisms on the chin

You also say with a religious discussion. I guarantee that it wont go anywhere The same could said about the politics discussed about Gambia. Might as well close the site down then

When was the seminar? Where was it?

You started as saying 'I was attending this seminar about Islam.....' Than you started your rubbish which was copied and pasted from internet after a google search. When I questioned you, you did not even respond it and the post was deleted after. Because I provided evidence that you did copy and paste that. It was not your words. I provided the link of the seminar speech. It was word by word same. Don't try to fool me. You lack of intellectual ability, your language skills is so obvious when you post things, I can understand what is yours what is not yours even though English is not my first language.

It seems like you are doing this a lots. Just look at this topic. You google and find something. And when you are defending yourself now you said 'Just google about Muslim pedophiles....'. And you expect me to take you serious and provide my opinion about religious discussion? I am all for good debate. But not like the way you want.

I have not stated im the author of the above
What i stated was where it came from

"This was written by a woman born in Egypt as a Muslim.

Joys of Muslim Women
By Nonie Darwish"

Kisley has clarified. It goes on to say It is to a large extent accurate

""Analysis: Despite the attribution at the top — "Joys of Muslim Women by Nonie Darwish" — this text wasn't written by Nonie Darwish; indeed, the bottom two-thirds of it refer to her repeatedly in the third person. You have niether responded to anything in the thread or my responce to your criticism of the thread which are still valid along with my views which you also fail to address which is your prerogative
