All booked
Day One
Embark for our afternoon sailing and enjoy your first evening aboard.
Day Two
Today is spent at sea, cruising north beneath the early summer sun.
Day Three
This afternoon dock in "wonderful, wonderful" Copenhagen. Stroll the stylish streets, or enjoy an excursion taking in the famous sights including the famous bronze statuette of the 'Little Mermaid'. Watch the world go by from a harbour-side bar in Nyhavn, and don't miss the sculpted walkways of the world-famous Tivoli Gardens.
Day Four
This morning arrives in the Baltic port of Warnemunde, gateway to the city of Rostock. Seat of northern Europe's oldest university, Rostock retains much of its medieval charm in the gabled houses and preserved warehouses surrounding Neuer Markt, the city's main square.

However, for many the main attraction of this stop will be our optional excursion to Berlin. Rapidly re-emerging as one of the world's great cities, Berlin is an unforgettable place. Stroll from the arch of the Brandenburg Gate down Unter den Linden to explore the former East German sector; browse the shops on the 'Ku'damm'; and take in the various remnants of 20th Century conflict - from Hitler's Bunker to Checkpoint Charlie and the rebuilt Potsdamer Platz.
Day Five
Today is spent at sea, enjoying onboard comforts and (hopefully!) the clear light and clean air for which Baltic Sea cruising is renowned.
Days Six
Almost impossibly beautiful, the Estonian capital Tallinn, with its enchanting and virtually pristine Old Town, is one of Europe's most scenic cities. Discover this timeless gem, with its winding cobbled streets of storybook houses, spectacular steepled churches, ancient buildings and Toompea Castle.
Day Seven
Perhaps the highlight of our cruise is our visit to St Petersburg, one of the world's most startling, shimmering, glorious cities, with its incomparable Hermitage Museum, its wide canal-side boulevards and its modern 'European' atmosphere. Don't miss the chance to explore the city's Haymarket, so redolent with scenes from Dostoyevsky's novels, or the opportunity to gaze in awe at the opulence of the Marinsky Theatre, home to the world renowned Kirov Ballet.
Day Eight
This morning's destination is the wonderful port of Helsinki, where the City Hall overlooks the fresh fish stalls and historic, covered Market Hall in Market Square. Stroll through Esplanade Park, and take in the panoramic views of the city and the sea beyond from the cathedral tower before we set sail once more in the afternoon.
Day Nine
Be on deck early this morning as we pass the myriad islands surrounding the Swedish capital, Stockholm. The city itself is built across 14 such islets, and is best explored on foot. One third water, one third city and one third green landscape, Stockholm offers a wonderful mix of historic sights, labyrinthine cobbled streets and fine parks.
Day 10
Today is spent at sea, hopefully bathed in summer sunshine.
Day 11
Another day on which it's worth rising early to catch the last stages passage back through the Kiel Canal to Brunsbuttel. The rest of the day is spent at sea, perhaps to relive the adventures of the holiday.
Day 12
Arrive back and you disembark and make your way home.

Try and go to Gamlastan, cafes cobbold streets and rainwater downpipes made from copper,(I dont think that there are any copper rainwater copper pipes in Manchester or Liverpool )

”Be on deck early this morning as we pass the myriad islands surrounding the Swedish capital, Stockholm.”

Set your watch so you do not miss the passage between the islands. On the other hand, there is plenty of time as the ship is going to sail slowly since it takes into account that the surges can damage the beaches as well as birdlife.

Do you know what port in Stockholm you are entering? There are at least three or four possibilities.

Do not forget to be on the deck even when you leave Helsinki the day earlier. The historic fortress Suomenlinna is on your right. In contrast to the verdant islands of the Stockholm archipelago's , islands here are barren, and you are quickly out on the open sea.

I have visited St Petersburg once but that was long time ago, when the name of the city was Lenigrad so I can´t be of any help. We were not allowed to go out on our own! I remember watching a performance with Kirov Ballet and visiting Hermitage. To this a superb dinner with a lot of champagne, vodka and caviar.

Ah, Kiwi ... that too takes me back to my trip to Leningrad ... beautiful city with so many lovely parks with fabulous fountains and Leningrad's amazing metro ... and what about the GUM store? Too bad us visitors weren't 'allowed' to go out on our own or talk to the residents (well, you could try to talk to them but nobody would answer!) ... and it was in Leningrad that I tasted the best ice cream ever

Hi MeMe, I can see you did quite a lot you were not "allowed" to...I was "law obedient" and scared and did nothing outside the program. GUM or ice cream were not included! Maybe time for a new trip to explore the city.

Ah but I was in my very early teens ... and teens certainly aren't known for being obedient wherever they are
