Generator what generator ?
"This reporter contacted the NAWEC officials in Basse, but they all declined to comment and referred this reporter to the PRO. Efforts to talk to the PRO proved futile."

http://www.foroyaa.gm/modules/news/article.php?storyid=7223

Residents of Basse and the surrounding villages have expressed their frustration and concern over what they describe as perpetual power outage in the said area as the main generator at the Basse power station was seen being driven in the direction of Banjul. This according to residents is very disappointing and impeding the attainment of the millennium development goals.
Speaking to this reporter a disgruntled government official said the power outage in URR is monotonous which he said is creating difficulties for them in carrying out duties as expected of them. He pointed out that offices are now run by computers but very useless without effective and efficient power supply.
He stressed that it is more than a week without doing anything due to electricity constraints. He urges the authorities to put their house in order and remedy the situation. Haja Salimatou Sowe a native of Basse Angal Futa also expressed similar frustration.
According to Salimatou, they the residents of Angal Futa have not been receiving electricity for more than two weeks, without any explanation. These according to Salimatou also violate the rights of the residents to enjoy electricity supply. She also appeals to the authorities to speed up the remedy.
Mr. Musa Sillah a welder man and Babagalleh Jallow all expressed similar feelings and urged the authorities to solve the problem as soon as possible. This reporter contacted the NAWEC officials in Basse, but they all declined to comment and referred this reporter to the PRO. Efforts to talk to the PRO proved futile.

This the election year, am sure im not going to campaign is bull, but we cannot afford not be credible. If this story is true, then electioneering is in full progress and full force, our so call leaders in waiting should take up the mantle and represent the marginalized. But i can predict, they all come from the Kombo so typical they will be happy that they have a few more hours of electricity with their families.

Agreed, let's wait and see if this is an electioneering stunt, there is the fact though that Senegal at the moment has an acute shortage of electricity, who knows the facts.

Oh my fellow members of Bamtaba, I was a bit busy on the phone and email with contacts. My source had been to Tamba counda to speak to me. but the network was so bad we couldn't hear each other. There was a heavy rain these days. I have been trying all to get some news but nothing I can reliably confirm.
I am not moe living on mare ellussions.I shall get Bantaba furnished with true account details soon.
