The bandits' last catch, is the mercenary judges' finger-licking. No surprise here. Janneh & Co played the Jammeh & Co game, and Jammeh always wins, at least for now................lol!

So Kitab and this is just a What IF ? So What IF MR Janneh was indeed involved in subversive and clandestine activities meant to undermine the STATE? Do you think they should walk the streets FREE men. I'll tell you what though anyone involved in pioneering a radio station for political motives SHOULD be JAILED, a repetition of RWANDA aint gonna happen again. Only Gambia can a Killer walk scott Free if they pronounce and profess that they hate Jammeh!!................................Peace. |

Let's not jump the gun here, Moe. In a typical bandit stylé, you shoot first then ask questions later! Subversive and clandestine activities, or pioneering a radio station for political motives alá Rwanda are just the figment of your imagination, and most probably you boss's too. Once a bandit, always a bandit.............lol!

Poker games don't last forever, to be honest. The 72 hrs limit for incaceration without charge is firmly rooted in the Gambian constitution. This could likely be a bluff from the bandits, or just naked harassment. |

Just remember that for certain crimes committed, the State can hold you Indifinetly with NO explaination,It just depends on the STATE and whether it was CLANDESTINE and SUBVERSIVE. There are prisoners from Iraq still arrested with no access to Justice in a more advanced democracy, "Nah DEMACRACY"..................Peace |

INCOMMUNICADO ring a bell Jayanfara, They never denied having him, the question is what will they charge him with? If the charges are flimsy and can never hold water in any court of law, then and only then can anyone claim he was a victim of lawlessness, meanwhile he will have his day in court and the charges will be pronounced. Its sad I see all these bogus petitions online and Nyamato's articles regarding the release of Mr Janneh unconditionally or whatever ya'll dreaming up but check this out, What if this is all related to Fraud or something completely different, a conspiracy or whatever it may be. None of ya'll can ascertain to what he is arrested for but ready to gain his freedom. Most of ya'll are just mentally unstable and and deficient in several faculties. As for you Jay today you're UDP Sampursang tomorrow CCG, Let me reassure you something the latter is the ONLY legitimate organization, CCG, GDM GMC all that that crap, are bogus clandestine and subversive organizations. Once again I will afford an airline ticket for anyone of these organizations leaders to go to Gambia for the Upcoming Elections including the Devil himself Pa Nderry and the trailing clowns. Coverage is important and if your mediums are worth any salt which I know it ain't and I can confirm that, well the offer is once again on the Table. Bokarr Sey and Matthew Jallow I got your Back, I will pay for your airline tickets. This is your last chance for ya'll, Or else BYFORCE yu will all retire from the online platforms or else be deemed and termed the worst dictators ever, Ya'll ruled right along Jammeh if Jammeh gotta go ya'll parasites gotta go too. 17 years of Hatred and Ex Ambassadorship which you can never change is not good enough. Either ya'll go join Gambian Men or story books will be written about your HOPELESS lives.........................................Peace |

Janneh Spotted at NIA, COMMIT Resumes Business
Wednesday, June 15, 2011 The Daily News has now established the whereabouts of Dr Amadou Scattred Janneh, 48, a former Gambian Information minister, who was whisked away since last week Tuesday. “I saw Dr Janneh at a distance of about 40 metres away,” a reporter who made an undercover visit at the National Intelligence Agency headquarters in Banjul on Monday has revealed. The reporter said Dr Janneh was sitting under a veranda of a detention centre at the time of his visit on Monday morning.
“Janneh seemed to be in a not-so-bad physical shape and his composure was intact,” according to the reporter. The reason/s for the arrest of the former cabinet minister as well as his whereabouts have been a subject of speculation since the time of his arrest at his office, COMMIT, eight days ago today. Since then, Dr Janneh has been denied his constitutionally guaranteed rights to have contact with his family members and a legal counsel, despite the elapse of the 72 hours maximum detention period allowed by law. Though, he was on Saturday escorted by plain clothed police officers to his office for reason/s unclear to this paper, neither the family members nor the staff had the opportunity to see him before he was driven back in an unnumbered white police Pick Up truck. Meanwhile, the only piece of good news that has so far emerged from this saga appears to be the recommencement of business at COMMIT, a leading distributor of IT products in the country set up by Dr Janneh following his dismissal as Information minister in 2005. The keys to the office were handed over to an unidentified person when Janneh was escorted to the office. A native of Gunjur village in Kombo South, Janneh started journalism at the age of 17 at Radio Gambia before he left for the United States, where he bagged a bachelor’s degree in journalism, master’s and doctorate in political science in 1990. He taught political science at the University of Tennessee for ten years before returning home in 2003 to work at the U.S. embassy in Banjul as political assistant. Six months later, he was appointed by the Jammeh administration as minister for Information and Technology. He was relieved of his duties in 2005.

Scattred Janneh, 3 others face treason, other charges By Fatou Sowe
Wednesday, June 15, 2011
Police Prosecutors Monday filed in treason, conspiracy and sedition charges against a former Communication minister and three others at the Banjul Magistrates Court presided over by Acting Principal Magistrate Taiwo Ade Alagbe.
Dr Amadou Scattred Janneh, Michel C. Ucheh Thomas, Modou Keita and Ebrima Jallow were brought to the said court late Monday afternoon, where the three charges were leveled against them. The accused person are yet to take their pleas, but according to the charges, on count one, the accused persons will stand trial for conspiracy to commit a felony, to wit treason, contrary to Section 35 (1) (g) of the Criminal Code Cap 10:01, Volume III, Laws of The Gambia 2009.
The particulars of the offence revealed that the four accused persons on or about the month of May 2011 in the Kairaba Avenue and diverse places in The Gambia, conspired among themselves to effect to carry out an enterprise with force with the intent to usurp the executive powers of the state. On count two, the first accused, Dr Amadou Scattred Janneh will stand trial for treason contrary to Section 35 (1) (c) of the Criminal Code Cap 10:01 Volume III Laws of The Gambia 2009.
The particulars stated that Dr Amadou Scattred Janneh on or about the month of May 2011 in Kairaba Avenue and diverse places in The Gambia, distributed T-Shirts bearing ‘coalition for change the Gambia, End to Dictatorship Now’ with intent to usurp the executive powers of the state. On count three, the four accused persons will stand trial for sedition intent contrary to Section 51 (1) (a) of the Criminal Code Cap 10:01 Volume III Laws of The Gambia 2009.
According to the particulars of the offence, the accused person on or about the month of May 2011 in the Kairaba Avenue and diverse places in The Gambia, distributed T-Shirts bearing ‘Coalition for change The Gambia, End to Dictatorship Now’ with intent to incite the inhabitants of The Gambia to attempt to procure alteration otherwise by lawful means any matter in The Gambia as established by law.
When the case was called, the commissioner of the Police Prosecution Unit, Landing Kinteh appeared for the IGP. The presiding magistrate revealed that upon review of the charge sheet, the court holds that it lacks the jurisdiction as the matter involves treason, which according to Section 5 Sub-section (a) of the Criminal Procedure Code, the said court is excluded to hear.
He then remanded the accused persons in prison custody pending the proper arraignment at the high court as the magistrate court cannot hear the case. The case was therefore transferred to the High Court in Banjul where the accused persons will be tried.

You mention 'any court of law'. Should this be corrected to Gambian court of law? No matter how flimsy the charges are it will not make the slightest bit of difference to the mercenary judges. How many of the recent treason trials have had any evidence let alone substansive evidence? It's a joke and we enable this to happen by our silence |
