It’s a pity that we always have a low participation even though both members and non-members can vote in these Bantaba polls. The polls are set in a way that the featured poll is always shown to all until one vote, so people just ignore it.

We are unable to see anyone’s voting pattern but we can see that only 3 members have voted in today's featured poll out of 10 votes and the rest are anonymous visitors.

Why do people ignore these polls?

1. The Gambia’s Constitution: Jammeh vs. the People
2. After the ballot failed Ivory Coast experiments
3. No voice for the Diaspora
4. Ms. Miriam Denton vs. F.J. Ceesay
5. GMC: Funding and Participation

Momodou, I am sure that people do not ignore your polls intentionally, when you put them up as a posting I bet the results are better,I also think that MAYBE as political matters tend to rule Bantaba in Cyberspace folks are afraid that they may be identified by people they would rather not be identified by,Gambia is a small place and a wagging tongue soon becomes a giant wave of rumour and confusion, you know Gambians just love the dark and confusion

As stated above, we are unable to see anyone’s voting pattern.

By the way, Kayjatta made a very good analysis some time ago last year at http://www.gambia.dk/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8892 and I agree with him that "It is somewhat like a civic duty to get yourself counted in surveys like this..."
