Friday, January 21, 2011 Mikailu Abdulahi, the deputy director of Public Prosecution (DDPP) has been appointed as the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) at the Attorney General’s Chambers and Ministry of Justice, pro-government Daily Observer newspaper reported Yesterday. Mikailu replaces Richard Chenge who was given an ultimatum to leave the country. He has returned home – Nigeria – our sources said. Although no reason has been advanced for Richard Chenge’s dismissal, unconfirmed reports have it that he refused to prosecute former High Court Judge Moses Richard, who is accused of sedition and false information.
