Amazing reports coming from Ivory Coast has it that both the opposition leader the apparent winner of the elections and the Incumbent President have been sworn in today as President elect of the volatile embattled country.

According to BBC reports: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-11919256

The Constitutional Council has dismissed the results declared by the independent electoral commission and has stated that the incumbent president Gbagbo is duely elected...

This is indeed a historic precedence that a sitting African government known to consolidate power and in control of all state machinery would acuse the opposition of stealing the votes. This is amazing...

Now to mirror the same situation in the Gambia, it is absolutely not unconceivable that the same situation can happen in Gambia. President Jammeh like Gbagbo in Ivory Coast have consolidated so much power and have created so many uncertainties that they will do anything to stay in power. So the Gambian opposition and people should brace for this kind of possibilities...

These are interesting times in Africa....

Brother Baldeh, your observation is on track. This rogue has such crooked and misguided ways. He is capable of sparking fire on Gambian soil once defeated. Why do you think he imports so much deadly weapons?

Yaya is ungrateful and cruel to good people of Gambia.

Daily Observer nearly hit the nail but missed out by expecting Ivory Coast to emulate Gambia.
