Bilaii Haliss Neehna, Jammeh hamna chi daraa!

President Jammeh, according to his former lobbyist, John Aycoth, in anno 2000-2002, once
gave a wooping $20,000 cash tip to dental clinic hygienists, after dental work performed at a US
dental clinic that ammounted to "only" $8,000. That was just for starters! President Jammeh's
spending spree continued, with him squandering $800,000 cash on vain Bling! Bling! Bling!

Kitabul Arerr,

Halissi saacha posong la.

Illicit acquisition of filthy money is not good. Jammeh used to talk about Ali Baba and 40 Thieves. What is he? A one man Thief ?

This greedy rogue needs help.

I'm not surprised by any of these revelations. We Gambians must stand up and take back our country once and for all.

Justice must be served as impunity brings more repression and corruption!

AKU PICKIN WITH DUE RESPECT TO YOU & CERTAIN READERSHIP, THE FOLLOWING IS FOOD FOR THOUGHTS ADDRESSED TO CONCERN COMPATRIOTS (ESPECIALLY SO-CALLED ELITES) TO DIGEST THESE BRIEF COMMENTS, NOT MEANT FOR MALICIOUS MINDS, DIS-HONEST INTELLECTUALS, BLIND, DEAF & DUMB; courtesy of Foroyaa/Suwaibou Touray commentary on "The Politician";

QUOTATIONS:"I am sure that you are aware of how our people see politicians over the years. In the past, most illiterate parents or even literates would advise their children not to get involved in politics. Politics was seen as something bad, something useless and in which sensible people should not get involved. This is why many people did not take the initiative to get voters’ cards.

It is my view that every good citizen should be interested in politics. This does not necessarily mean that everybody should want to stand as a candidate.

In my view, politics is the science of government. They are the principles of governing a country. It is only through the guidance of such knowledge that people can prepare a foundation on which their country can rely on to secure liberty, peace and prosperity for each and everyone. Without such knowledge or awareness, these things cannot be achieved. Peace. Liberty and prosperity cannot be brought to us on a silver platter. We have to strive for it.

I think the revelations from the Commissions are lessons for generations unborn. However, the lesson which we should gather is not that politics is bad but that if we, the people are ignorant and passive,
bad people will trick our nation and live at our expense. If we keep away from politics, others will make the country their property and do whatever they want with our country.

May I ask: Could such malpractices occur for long under a system of government where people are involved and are fully aware of the duties of their representatives?"

My conception is that this can only happen if the people take a laissez faire attitude towards politics in their country. This deprives a country and the people of many opportunities. This is what happened during the First Republic." HERE I MAY ADD MORE ATROCITIES, STATE TERROR AND CORRUPTION OCCUR IN SECOND REPUBLIC; IN MY OPINION!

"So what is required now is for Gambians to be concerned with how their country is governed. They should know the functions of government. Once this is clear, they will be able to select the right representatives without concern for tribe, complexion, gender, status and place of origin. What we need are citizens who can differentiate leaders who are capable of betraying their aspirations and those who would not do so. Those who are likely to use their public offices to live like lords in pursuit of their selfish ends and those who are willing to serve as true servants of the people in the interest of the country.

Africa needs a new generation of leaders not politicians who will use public office to promote their selfish interests."

JAMMEH: The whole Gambia and the world know that what we had here was not a government but a club of thieves. They have stolen all the wealth of the country. Then they stand over there to talk of democracy and human rights. While the farmers and other poor people continued to get poorer, those in power continued to enrich themselves."
