Police have recovered a three-month old baby who was stolen from her mother’s stall at Tanji beach by an unknown person last month.
Three suspects are currently arrested in connection with the incident with the principal suspect, named as one Fatima Jawara, still at large.
Those arrested are the parents of Ms Jawara and an accomplice who was believed to have helped her snatch the baby. They are being detained at the Tujereng Police Station helping in the investigations.

The baby was dramatically snatched last month when the mother left it alone while preparing food near her beach canteen.
The baby, which has turned up safe and unharmed, has since been reunited with its mother, family sources told this paper.
The baby is the son of Momodou Lamarana Barry and Fatoumatta Binta Jallow, the latter, a food vendor and resident of Tanji.

Police spokesperson ASP Lamin Njie confirmed the recovery. He said the arrested accomplice is a Guinean married to a Nigerian national in The Gambia.
It is not clear how the missing baby was found and rescued and when the three detainees will appear in court.
