Our source further added that no reason was given to them by the police as to why they were arrested. “This time around they did not pay anything to the police.” The regional police commissioner, Mr. Sankareh said the arrest and subsequent detention of the four commercial sex workers was news to him. “However, currently my officers are on night patrols and I don’t know actually who you are referring to? As far as I am concerned, the patrols are on and all those who were arrested before independence were released on bail so that they can go home and enjoy their independence,” he added.
